So what you are saying is that in the foreseeable future we might have a semi auto 243 with a nice heavy barrel on it that's perfect for whacking coyotes? Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! (12 year old girl shriek)
Hopefully in the future they make a smaller caliber version. Would love a 6.8 or 6.5 version of this though I suppose I could settle for 260 or 243
Realistically the xcr-m is about 3k,...i would rather pay another 1000 for something that is quality. However they keep saying This gun is not a battle rifle and that its for precision.... but they should realize that the majority of potential buyers want a non restricted high quality accurate battle 308. I hope they take this into consideration when they bring it to the market. If they do it properly it will be the scar 17 Canadians never had the opportunity to buy and will be bigger then they probably imagine.
We HEAR you and folks won't be disappointed. The key is that it is NOT a battle rifle, so will be accurate, reliable and not have some of the useless features that were forced onto the AR platforms such as dust covers and forward assist mechanisms.
So like a DPMS LR308 target rifle?
I wonder how long it would take if they had thousands of faxes pouring in about it?
a 308 AR like is getting custom build in BC by SA arms model Mach 2 with chioce of Shilen, Hart, Krieger or Benchmark barrels. Yap it's made in Canada.
Rick, do you have any plans to make a switch barrel type system? I would LOVE a 22" 260rem and a 20" 308win.... If not, oh well. Just dreaming out loud.
Also will the Ver2.0 prototype be in the store for pre-release fondle sessions? Maybe further along in development?
I was getting REALLY close to dropping money on a restricted AR-10 platform, THANK GOD I found this thread!
Not really a switch barrel, but it is as easy as a barrel swap on any AR platform. We are pondering offering additional uppers in other calibers.
Once we have the final version completed and into testing it will be available to fondle and check out at the shop.
We have not ruled out
