To be honest, the rifle works fairly nicely out of the box. A ton of fun to shoot, and with 20/20 vision I'd still buy it.
My recent model has the M4 feed ramps so I doubt I'll ever see feeding problems, and to my relief it consistently ejects (with Win and Rem 55 gr FMJ ammo) to 1-2 o'clock, which means lefties like me can safely shoot it without having to worry about trimming the ejector spring (which I heard some lefties had to do to stop it from ejecting in their faces).
The things that weren't so hot were a) it took some elbow grease to start the elevation adjustment on the front sight going since it was really tightly screwed in, as well as some general tweaking to get the front sight adjustment working smoothly, and b) let's be honest, the trigger pull, while usable, is significantly heavy.
Speaking of which, is it difficult to disassemble (and reassemble) the trigger group and give it a polish if I want to improve the trigger a little without having to spend for a match trigger group? Anyone have a link to instructions?
