Canuck Operator Elite (M4 clone)...

I'm watching a video breakdown of the A300UP right now titled "Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol: Underwhelming". I see what you're saying now. This guy is pointing out every design flaw and cut corner and man it's ugly for what this gun costs. Perhaps it used to be a good deal, but with only a $200 price difference between it and the 1301 now, it seems very clear which is the better buy.

This is what I was talking about earlier in the thread. If I paid $1600 for an A300UP and had the issue he had where the cheap POS plastic barrel clamp slid after a couple dozen rounds and scratched my barrel I'd be livid. Add everything else he points out on top of that and I'd regret my purchase 100%. Just seems like a gun that they didn't put much thought or care into at all as far as serious use goes.
I would agree, for the price they could have easily included an adjustable rear sight & additional bar to keep the action aligned while cycling.

I also went with the 1301T so I could put a pistol grip, folding/locking stock adapter, & hydraulic buffer tube.

These days is it wrong to think any GOOD semi auto 12 ga should eat target loads?

How do the "good" turkish guns do with low recoil buckshot and slugs? The Challenger stuff is the cheapest I can get, especially locally, and run through a lot of it.

I gave the 930 a quick glance a while back, but am giving the 940 Pro Tactical a much more thorough look now. What do you think of them? Aced TFBTV's burn down test and Thunder Ranch trusts the model enough to put their name on it.
I handled one at TACCOM & was impressed with the feel at shoulder & was well balanced, has an optic cut out, replacable chokes, & can accept a pic rail if you wish.

I have not shot any rounds through one.

That is as good of a endorsement as any.
Keep in mind it was also designed & collaborated on with Jerry Miculek the GOAT.

That’s very strange for the 940 Tactical, my friends 940 Tactical is fed a steady stream of 2 3/4” target loads and eats them without complaint every time
I am certain my friend did some devious things to the gun in order to facilitate mag tube extension fitment.

Price wise the elite operator still deserves a very worthy consideration.
I was extremely impressed with the thunder ranch.

The Canuck Elite is as good as bought once they're on sale again, and the 940 Pro Tactical is the only other one I'm SERIOUSLY considering. It's pricey, but on sale it wouldn't be too bad. The 1301 is still a fever dream.

The 1301 is worth the price of admission. I was very hesitant about spending that dough on a Shotgun. I have a 930 SPX and it is awesome but after handling the 1301 I was sold. Its lighter, faster and eats everything I have fed it. I don't really thing I have ever had any issue with target loads in a semi, except for the Charles Daly.

Yeah the more I watch and read about the 940 Pro Tactical, the more I see that experiences with it vary. Some have issues that shouldn't happen with a $1400 shotgun, and some don't.

Beretta/Benelli designs seem to have far fewer issues, especially when it comes to reliability.

I grabbed one of the Hunt Group MX4's because of this thread lol. Primarily price and that it looked more like an M4 then a few of the others.
Standard stock as I have a couple pistol grip shottys already, and the sliding butt just looks horrible to me and adds over $100.
Tore it apart, quite simple to disassemble right down to the bones, all the machine work was clean and smooth, really couldn't find any tool marks anywhere except some minor ones on the inside upper part of receiver.
After clean and lube, everything moves very slick,
Bolt, barrel extension, and bore are chromed.
Pretty much everything braized to the barrel are cast pieces, front sight base, mag tube ring, piston housing is a forging though.
Finish is supposedly cerracote, seems durable, nothing scratched up after taking it down and reassembly. Trigger is smooth and light after oiling and drying it out with compressed air.
Not much I could find to ##### about EXCEPT the buttpad, it's hard rubber with zero give, it's trash for sure.
Comes in a decent hard case, some extras like 3 chokes, shooting glasses, decent sling, ear plugs.
Should be able to get it out for a bang tomorrow to check function and I'll take some pics then.
If it works I'll be happy, $550 is pretty cheap for a kinda mean looking shotgun like these. No idea what to do about that buttpad though lol.

Do you guys have any experience or opinions on TNA's VR-66 for a Turkish M2 clone?
Been very impressed with the VR-66, excellent performance with target loads, buckshot and slugs. Light, fast and great features for an inexpensive semi. I’m going to pick up another one asap. Bonus is that unlike a lot of the Turkish built semis, TNA carries every part you will ever need, always nice to know you can fix it if it breaks something 👍

I just bought the barebone version, $399 it's a very good deal I think!!!

I saw that. Lol. Inventory went from 11 to 10 left last night. I just asked about the bare bones version in the main VR-66 thread. Low risk at that price. Cheaper than a 10/22!

I figured I'd try the bare bones model, and if I love it I'll wait until the competition model goes on sale again to have one of each.

The +3 mag you bought, was it an S&J part or a Turkish made VR-66 tube? How much were they? Listing is gone since they're sold out.
