Changed to 2014-2015 Wterfowl hunting thread!

How'd everybody do? Big waste of time for this guy goin out.
I had a good weekend. Opening day I got 2, the geese were landing away from my decoys. I mistook how far/where I was setting up in the field as it was foggy. Second day was very successful. I limited out by 730, with lots of geese still around. Kind of upset that I was done within an hour of being out there lol. So if anyone is in south eastern ontario and wants to do some goose/duck hunting feel free to msg me!

got my first goose Saturday! What a rush first time hunting goose second shot dropped him to the ground. No other opportunities saw lots but nothing in range. The farmer just cut down he soy beans hopefully this Saturday I can get a couple more. I was using winchester superX high velocity 3 inch bb didn't pattern amazing but it's all I had and for 12$ a box I was going to try it out.I'm going to try out RemingTon hypersonic bb a buddy uses them samegun patterns well we will try it out this weekend. Anyone invest the money and shoot tungsten? Seeing if it's worth the money. Can't find a lot of reviews online.

Deer season is right close so my duck hunting gets pushed back until the crappy cold icy weather

13 guys in my gang all are older and done by 4:00pm Only me and 3 other guys are their runners so once they're done I got time to take the scattergun to the pond and get at the ducks till dark...Of course the rifle rides up front with me till I get there then trades places behind the seat with the scattergun, everywhere I hunt deer and ducks is private land with roads cut through it. Never know when you might see bucky on your way to the duck pond;)

Well since you put it that way I might have to think on it real hard!

Clear your calendar and tell the family you ain't comin home for Christmas, you got the fever and the only prescription is more goose and duck huntin!

Most of the local geese have moved south . Should be more coming down yet. It's been pretty boring in the fields the past few morning

I hear ya there man, been mighty slow round here thus far. Too warm, no wind, bluebird skies no good, gonna cool down again soon once that north/northwest wind starts blowin they'll be ridin it down steady till freeze up.

Nope they had a mission and i was hunting a new spot . It was a swamp field , wasnt my proudest moments . Backpacking decoys with mud sucking my boots off and having to use the shotty as a walking balance stick. Im sure glad i didnt have company , it was rough. Guess geese dont like wet puddle fields

Seen lots of the same kinda birds on a mission last night, didn't want nothin to do with my setup they had other plans. Nice to see a new bunch of birds rode the front in though, watched em fly over all night last night.

we have got 139 canadians and 35 ducks between the 6 of us since the opener.

I just started waterfowling this year, My cousin has the full rig, enclosed trailer/ 100s of decoys and he's very good at calling. I just hide and shoot! Awesome!

Only got one goose this morning, Didnt even see any flying. Got a 5 man limit wednesday night though.

Holy moley man that's some good huntin! Wish my first year was like that...Or any year for that matter, lucky man you are.

Went on my first goose hunt in 14 years this past saturday, that was the last time my dad and I went hunting before he stopped. I wasn't old enough to actually hunt then. I was pretty big into big game hunting, but now I am hooked on HONKERS. There isn't much like watching them coming perfectly into the decoys and the rush of sitting up and having only a few seconds to get a shot off before the get out of there.

This is my first goose ever, we shot 6 between the 3 of us. It wasn't the best day hunting, but it was tonnes better then a day in the office.

My waterfowl opener this past weekend. Too many birds, not enough ammo. Mallard drake and Green-wing teal hen.
