that SA20 lower won't drop free anything else than USGI to be honest, but the trade off for the extra couple rounds is still worth the trouble ;)
 
Back to the Surefire 3 Prong... I bought one a while back. Haven't had time to put it on my Block 2 M4A1 clone. Anyone else have one on a M4A1 / MK18 build? If anyone knows how it compares to an NT4 or A2 from actual trigger time I'd be interested to hear your input.

It's replacing the KAC NT4 that's on there now.
 
I love this thread. On my DD mk18 I've got the fde rail, FDE m600 ultra scout and an aac 51t brake. Magpul mbus sights. B5 sopmod stock in FDE.

Kinda want mbus pros. They're much slicker than the regular mbus. Considering getting those and gotta choose an optic.

Thinking an exps in FDE, or Elcan specterdr in FDE. Gotta go with the mod 1 theme..

Still trying to locate a peq-15 here. And maybe I should change out the AAC brake for a flash hider.

I have an extra RIS II in black. Considering using that to make a 300 blk di upper.

My mk18 is all black, I have to admit switching it to 300blk crossed my mind more than once: that is the perfect cqb rifle I think.
 
Don't even have a dedicated lower for mine, sold it to fund my SA20.
im so tempted to pick up another CC lower for the mk18 tho
 
Yeah see...I just reluctantly sold my noveske lower. To pay off some debt. Much easier and it doesn't take up as much room to just have one powers. And a bunch of uppers.

I am running the SF 3 prong SOCOM. Flash is no more. Ever. As for recoil etc... I will feel pretty much like the A2. Maybe a little better and more consistent. As you got a 12 o'clock opening muzzle rise seems to be a little less. But marginal.

Best Flashider I ever used. At night it's amazing.

Giving this thread a bump with a crappy pic.



I got rid of the front grip and run the stock fully collapsed with the PC on, much more comfortable than I expected.

Next items on the list are sf3p with tan warden if possible, kac front 99051, matech or kac rear and I'll be pretty much done. May give the sopmod stock a try if I find one for a decent price.

Obviously an atpial-c and an insight wmx200 would be awesome but you know...$
 
I wouldn't worry about it not being DD. A DD technically isn't a real MK18 either. Originals were Colt with some LMT uppers until Colt started making 10.3" barrels.

Thanks guys! I am really happy with how it turned out. Pinching my pennies for the proper Eotech.

Rapier, the shroud is the Spikes CAR-1. Just hit it with a little Krylon to finish the look. Obviously I don't expect it to hold up to a ton of rounds but when it cracks and peels i will just spray it again quick.
