CZ Bren 2 MS Drop-In Barrel Parts Question...

Lots of people would convert back to R. Lots of people also have R rifles and would like to swap barrels. Dlask is simply providing the modularity CZ promised but failed to deliver.

Hey guys. We have had a TON of folks asking about a spare trunnion and gas block set up for their Bren 2 MS rifles that we have converted. I have a line on the parts but need to gauge if there is really is that much interest or if it's just a couple people ..

Before you ask, cost for these parts will run about $600-$700. This is :

-Trunnion
-Gas block
-Gas Regulator ket, spring and roll pin
-Gas regulator for the spare barrel your rifle came with

This makes the rifle barrel changeable by removing a few Torx screws, remove / replace barrel, re-torque the Torx and off you go.

If you want to change CALIBER that could also be something we look at. These are the things we think about at night....

Let me know on this thread and if there is enough interest we could make this happen.

I am interested in this, but I am still a newbie in the gun world, and I do not entirely understand everything about this, but from what I've read, if I understand correctly, all I need is to provide you a CZ Bren 2 barrel of my desired size chambered in 5.56 (such as for example an 11 inch or a 16.5 inch) for the "installation part", and you will add the parts and then I will be able to swap with the current one I have?

I currently own an 8 inch 5.56 Bren 2 and I want to buy a 16.5 inch (hence keeping the restricted classification) and being able to swap between these two depending on what distance I want to shoot that day. So I guess this will allows me to do this?

Sorry if my question sounds dumb but I just want to understand it correctly before placing a pre-order for this

Any update on the preorder for the barrel parts. I think I ordered in December and haven’t heard anything.

You can see updates on the other threads about this, especially the one specifically announcing the preorder with a link to their website. They are progressing, but they ask for patience. Looking forward to getting my 11” barrel running again.

I have a converted version with the spare 11” barrel. If I bought an 8” restricted version and wanted to put in the 11” barrel, how difficult would that be? Would I need the same parts that this thread is for and would a gunsmith be need?

Happy Monday,

Things are moving and it looks like about 90% that the parts will be done finishing by the end of this week / early next week. The barrel blanks (3 calibers) are also done and will get loaded onto a truck this week. It takes about 5-7 days to get here from the East Coast then off to turning and made into usable bang tubes.

Is this also in reference to the pre-ordered trunnion/gasblock parts for people who already have spare barrels as well, or are these only parts alloted to be installed on the barrels you mentioned you haven't got yet?

You’ve been busy. Pretty excited about this.

Awesome. Looking forward to specs and pricing.

any new updates?

Yes there are. Just hit the shop this morning.

16mm gas block (18mm are here as well), we trimmed down the profile but left the front tab that holds in the gas regulator beefy so these boys are solid -

Trunnions are back from heat treat and will go for Nitride this afternoon -

I’m curious Leigh, if you could remove and replace a gas block on a 14.17” barrel with the purchase of another set? Would you do it for the $650 or would you charge a little more, if you’d even entertain doing it at all?
