I'd say the Dlask NR barrel is almost medium contour rather than a lighter profile one..
My 300 Blackout barrel is done
Going to pick it up on Tuesday![]()
I as well am super interested to get that kit, any other mods than the barrel or you had to change some internals? An Acog is a good sup for the acr.![]()
Imagine how the factory NR will be... Glad I got the enhenced.
Cr5..
I'm having the dlask barrel penciled like yours by a smith from Evansburg and should be ready this weekend. Only concern is how it will affect the accuracy portion since they did alright stock.
Who is in Evansburg? I used to deal with Edgar at Moving Target all the time but haven't been in there for a while since I moved from Edson.
Are you just getting it profiled from gas block to muzzle?
It shouldn't effect accuracy much unless you are doing lots of rapid firing and getting it hot. If it is a decent quality blank it should be fine as long as the barrel whip is consistent.
Are you going to refinish the barrel after you have it turned down or leave it bare? I'm trying to find a place that can nitride my barrels before I shoot them.
My 300BLK barrel turned out great, I just need to make an op rod guide and it will be ready to test, I ordered a linear comp for it so it will be quieter for hunting season and had it turned to a medium-light profile and it feels very similar to my 223 barrel for muzzle weight.
I'll get some pics up soon (probably in the ACR info and media thread though).
What's the weight difference between the factory 16.5" and the Dlask in its original profile?
And is there any kind of coating/treatment inside the Dlask?
How durable is a unlined/untreated CMV barrel?
I've concluded that the dlask medium contour barrel is too heavy, its going to the lathe for some weight loss!!
