Dlask non-restricted ACR Barrel

I'd say the Dlask NR barrel is almost medium contour rather than a lighter profile one..

Fixed it for you :)

Hope the ACOG works well for you, it was a hard one to let go.

Now get out there and shoot it and give us a range report with pics ;)

I as well am super interested to get that kit, any other mods than the barrel or you had to change some internals? An Acog is a good sup for the acr. :)

300BLK is all custom built, got lucky and came across a perfect 30cal AR barrel blank with 1:8 twist :D
Barrel is the only change other than having to shorten my extra op rod to fit with the carbine length gas system I had it built with as opposed to the midlength the ACR normally has. I wish I could have gone to pistol length but there isn't room for the gas block that far back. I may have issues shooting subsonic 200+ grain projectiles but I'm sure I can work it out with some load experimentation and maybe opening up the gas port a little if needed. If not I don't care much as I mostly shoot supersonic 110gr V-max in my 300BLK AR anyway and will be doing most of my shooting supersonic with bullets 165gr or less with the ACR.

My bolt for my NR 6.8SPC barrel finally showed up at Gravel, now I'm just waiting for the extractor and then to have the bolt machined to fit the 6.8SPC case head. The 6.8 kit may go up for sale once I have all the parts but I haven't decided yet. It will also make a good deer hunting rifle and it's a stainless match barrel as well so it should be accurate.

Imagine how the factory NR will be... Glad I got the enhenced.

Couldn't pay me to take the factory NR DMR model. Too heavy for a rifle that probably isn't going to shoot any better than the 16 inch. Cutting the same blank 2.5 inches longer and leaving it a heavier profile won't make it shoot any more accurately. Just gonna be a tank that costs more money.

Cr5..
I'm having the dlask barrel penciled like yours by a smith from Evansburg and should be ready this weekend. Only concern is how it will affect the accuracy portion since they did alright stock.

Who is in Evansburg? I used to deal with Edgar at Moving Target all the time but haven't been in there for a while since I moved from Edson.
Are you just getting it profiled from gas block to muzzle?
It shouldn't effect accuracy much unless you are doing lots of rapid firing and getting it hot. If it is a decent quality blank it should be fine as long as the barrel whip is consistent.
Are you going to refinish the barrel after you have it turned down or leave it bare? I'm trying to find a place that can nitride my barrels before I shoot them.

My 300BLK barrel turned out great, I just need to make an op rod guide and it will be ready to test, I ordered a linear comp for it so it will be quieter for hunting season and had it turned to a medium-light profile and it feels very similar to my 223 barrel for muzzle weight.
I'll get some pics up soon (probably in the ACR info and media thread though).

His name is Jason, precision shooter, welder and smith. Did my barrel the next day which is pretty impressive for a gunsmith. The finish for now is simple but effective BBQ paint :) The new barrel is now the same weight or lighter than the factory 16.5" .

What's the weight difference between the factory 16.5" and the Dlask in its original profile?
And is there any kind of coating/treatment inside the Dlask?

That looks sweet, very nice!

I can't wait for the NR to come out (if it actually does ;)). It's going to be a heavy bugger lol.

Carbon steel, nothing special with the Dlask barrel, reminds me if the colt hbar from back in the day. Weight wise, I am not sure since we are talking leverage here, guessing I shaved down a pound or so, but the balance effect will feel much lighter since the ACR has no weight in the rear.

I'm a sh!t magnet so I need all the help I can get lol, guess I should send my (not that I have one yet) barrel to get nitrided than
