Oh yeah and some dude tried to purchase a $1,227 Air France ticket with my account about 2 months after the first instance of fraud. First realized someone was doing it when I randomly kept getting BMO log-in verification codes to my SMS one night.
Several minutes later, I got a call from someone claiming to be a BMO representative who wanted to warn me of the fraud taking place.
But they wanted me to verify my identity by..... telling them the verification code I was being sent... Immediately grew suspicious and asked them for another verification method but they wouldn't budge.
Hung up and called the official line and they confirmed that BMO wasn't the one calling. During the call, the dude also unsuccessfully tried to call me about 7 different times.
The ultra-thick middle-east accent + poor call quality should've given it away.
Oh well..
