And while I'm at it, this is mostly likely a Diamond Quality Model 375 (with ejectors) or Model 325 (extractors).

Did anyone watch the Winchester 21 two barrel set in Landsborough's Auction? Went for 23k, plus commission, plus tax.
Interesting to compare its engraving and checkering with some of the examples posted in this thread.
It looks almost painterly, if you can say that about etching, smudged and blended, not crosshatchedSpeaking of beauty and skilled craftsmanship here are a couple of samples from arguably the best to ever scratch a piece of steel...

I like the stylized mallard upfront, sharp image
Engraving by Fracassi, Bulino engraving doesn’t get much better than that.Speaking of beauty and skilled craftsmanship here are a couple of samples from arguably the best to ever scratch a piece of steel...

Of interest wrt that auction lots #’s 196 Win21, 200 Holland, 205 Osborne 20ga, 209 Beretta, and 295 Browning Bss, all seem to have been sold to the same buyer, and those were only the ones that I saved to watch for interest’s sake, who knows could be more.....maybe a retailer picking up inventory, somebody buying back their own stuff because they didn’t like the prices they were fetching, or maybe ........somebody just got excitedDid anyone watch the Winchester 21 two barrel set in Landsborough's Auction? Soviet Baikal MC-8-2 presentation over/under boxlock shotgun presented by Premier Nikita Khrushchev to Prime Minister Zakaria Mohyeldin of Egypt in 1964, 12 ga. x 2 3/4 in. 750 mm vented barrel, Full choke, having an upper tang safety, with gilded double triggers, English style straight walnut stock with checkered grip, decorated with deep engraving the left side of the receiver depicts an image from Viktor Vasnetsov's painting "Bogatyrs" of three figures on horseback, the right side with a scene from Mikhail Ivanovich Avilov's painting "Duel of Persevet with Chelubey" depicting two figures battling on horseback, the underside of the receiver depicts an image from Viktor Vasnetsov's painting a "Knight at the Crossroads" depicting a weary figure on horseback, other areas of the receiver are decorated with images of weapons, scrollwork, and flowering vines, accenting the engraving is a thin gilded line outlining the receiver, serial #600895
Not exactly engraving... But I've come to realize that I kind of like checkered steel and nicely machined steel ribs... But odly enough, the checkered wood at the back of the action kind of bugs me...
Anyway, I find this old Daly kind of pleasant to look at... And wouldn't mind mind the opportunity to fundle it.
