Gunsmiths that you recommend

Just as an FYI SAIL in Vaughn ( 137 Chrislea Rd, Woodbridge, ON L4L 8N6) has a gunsmith who is a former Czech military Armourer. He has been a gunsmith for 50 years. With all the insanity of having to wait months on end to see a smith for work these days I thought I'd let you know about him.

Any of you who need work done on your guns look him up. He's definetly an interesting character with decades of experience to draw upon.

I promised I'd mention him and hope people would catch on like they did when I introduced Nick from Vulcan to CGN years ago.

Some of the work he has done for me has been simply unbelievable.

Definetly a under utilized talent.

This thread started 6 years ago and is almost 20 pages long. I'm not sure how accurate or current any info is.

Can anyone recommend a gunsmith in the GTA? (if not Toronto proper) If we could list several different ones, that would be great.

On another note, could we perhaps create a sticky thread for each province, (updated ones at that), instead of lumping the whole country together? (I think I've seen that before...?)

Thanks

can anyone recommend a good gunsmith in the lower mainland area?

Yes, I'd be interested too.

Two smiths I've had good work from are:

Henry Rempel in Alberta, who did some pillar-bedding and trigger work for me, and who has a well-earned reputation for excellence, and

Terry L'Heureux of Black Art Rifle Co. in Naramata, BC, who also did pillar-bedding and trigger work for me--and again a really super job.

Bits of Pieces in Delta - Barry Jensen. Excellent work, fair prices. Not quick though - anyone good is going to have a backlog of work.
Interesting. If you look back over the six years that this thread has been running, you'll find almost as many guys who panned him as those who like his work--3 positive, 2 really negative, and 1 sort of neutral.

For a CZ pistol, I highly recomend Jeremy from CRAFM.

I bought a used CZ75 with manual safety issues. Dlask never replied to my inquiry about the warranty services. CRAFM fix it fast, kindly and for cheap.

Looking for a Smith who can re barrel an P-17 ( its already sporterized, MPI stock custom trigger etc, ) for a reasonable price and clean up the action. Im in Alberta but BC or Sask is ok.

hello all, looking for info on a gunsmith to get some slide milling done on my M&P. any recommendations? Has anyone ever sent a slide to the states for this? I cant find many smiths in Canada that offer this as an option. Thanks for the help!!

Dlask arms, Black box custom offef that. Maybe TacOrd and Valley gunsmithing.
I would trust them all with my pistol.
