LAR 15 mags are no longer directly refered to in the RCMP special bulletin

It was too convenient having the bulletin specially name the LAR mags. Gotta keep them firearm regs as grey as possible in order to leave room for bullying and and necessary charges / confiscations.

Sorry for the heavy sarcasm. So frustrating. I wish the RCMP would comment on why the changes were made. You know, be transparent.

DO NOT apologize. Your point is dead on.

RCMP should be changed to RCMP-POS.

Just finished watching YouTube videos of RCMP Officers seizing various non-restricted rifles and LAR-15 magazines as "legal separately but illegal or prohibited together" was stated by the Officer. These guys didn't appear to have been shooting 10 dozen empty beer cans they donated after use. They did however appear to be non threatening and fully compliant with all demands/commands given by the Officer during the ordeal. How can a guy arm himself with documents or data that would be/could be verified as true and accurate to avoid having his firearms tossed in the trunk and driven to the station? Even knowing you are in the right seems only to enrage the A-type personality in these Officers to the point that ears, thoughts and minds slam shut and you are made to feel as though you are witnessing the solving of all gun problems worldwide before your very eyes.
Is a Notice to Peace Officers covering the legal use of LAR mags and their own statement about their use in all other firearms being unregulated, too much to request?
Don't want to be made to feel like a criminal infront of my family enjoying the outdoors, legally.

Funny as I shoot at a range filled with police officers that hear me pounding 10 or 15 rounds out of my AR without a mag change, them not even batting an eye my way.

Print and laminate this, I keep a copy in my range bag.

Me too. A kid next to me had a mini 14 with 20 rounders going and none of them gave him a second glance. Mind you...this is Alberta, and cops that go around peeing off legal gun owners do not do so with impunity...

pardon me, you witness a shooter who uses prohibit and nobody says a word? This is far different then using a legal LAR or BW magazine.

Personally I would ignore the shooter in the stall next to me. I am not a LEO. And as long as he was shooting safely, I would not personally care. That is just my opinion though.

I should also mention that my wife and I were lawfully shooting at our outdoor range last year with an AR and a LAR and Beowulf magazine. A FUDD (initials P.H.)member freaked out and yelled at my wife and I for having a prohibited device. He was very very abusive. And wrote an email to the club directors, saying I should be reported to LE and removed as a club member. The club (run by FUDDS) then sent me a nasty email, saying I had prohibited devices and I could be charged. I immediately called the CSSA and Tony B. emailed my club, stating that the LAR and Beowulf were completely legal. BTW I never even got an apology from the club or the FUDD member. I of course made a point to shoot my LAR and Beowulf more often at the range. Drives FUDDS nuts.

we are our own worst ennemies and snitches

Ok,

I am confused now

Some folks are saying bulletin 72 is old

some are saying print Questar form and you are good to go

if I shoot my

LAR with more than 5 rounds and a cop stopped me

WHAT SHOULD I SHOW THEM

Show them whatever you want. A bulletin is not law. An LEO that doesn't know the law won't be well enough versed in it to know whether the bulletin is old or not.

It's not sneaky either, the bulletin may be old, but it was never law anyways.
