Nothing to go on about. There's zero chance Soviet milsurp ammo from the '50's is non-corrosive.

Here you go as promised

Gobels in London got a bunch of crates. They want $300 each!!!!
And they say there's no mark up in ammo!
You can bet they probably got a quantity discount off the $192 crate price too! I suppose you can't blame them for making a profit but this seems a little excessive. Don't get me wrong, I've been in & out of their stores since I was a kid in the 60's & do like them but damn! They want $40/lb for varget too (same as Bass Pro) ....... LeBaron is $26. I guess that's what happens when you're the only store in town!
Well can you imagine how much more savings we would have had if Centurty International didn't had to open all the sardine cans and lable all packages with stupid warnings? I would imagine that took some time and pay someone to do this job. We probably would have less than 10 cents a shot. I guess its their way to make us pay more.
I transferred the ammo to the large ammo cans - the size one up from the 50 cal can. The large ammo can holds all 1300 rounds with a little room left for 6 more small paks.
Good for long term storage.
Where does one find these ammo cans? Princess auto? What are the dimensions? Got a photo?
Here you go...I was at the mississauga location last night...they still have lots

It's a shame it's not in the spam cans which would make looooong term storage a no brainer! Oh well, just have to use it up or go with ammo cans![]()
When you say "Ammo can" are you just referring to a .50 cal box? Fill it up then close it and it is good for "loooooong" term storage? Or what could be done with this current batch of ammo to store it for a long period?
A .50 can will hold 1k of 7.62x39.
Might be the way to go ....... stash 1000 in the readily available 50 cal box and blow off the remaining 320 rounds![]()
