I have the 5.56 version with a muzzle brake and I had but problems since I bought it new.
My firing pin broke aftet 1000 rounds. Now half of the casing is braking up inside my chamber and getting stuck there. My blacksmith is chaking his head.
The vz is sent to the distributor in toronto. They might gimmy a new one.

The receiver cover is holding out well and the Lucid is decent too.
Over all I'm pretty happy with this one other than the Mag cap,
I may consider the Mag well adapter, it's been a while since I've looked into that option though.

I would also like to know what mock suppressor that is. Also, what paint did you use?
What kind of paint is that? Where did you get the suppressor?
Im going to be making some more of these barrel shrouds in aluminum. Does anyone else want one?
I present to you my best attempt to copy the VSS Vintorez. AS Val build is in the works as well. POSP scope is in the mail. It should finish it off nicely. Thanks to Dmitri for the help and inspiration.
Needs a black pistol grip and some modifications to the stock.
The back 1/4 of it slides on and doesn't rotate as it hooks around the gas block. The front piece threads onto the end of the barrel. I posted some pictures of how it goes on a few pages back in this thread. You could try and put a front sight on it but I think it would be pretty hard to get it set up so it was accurate.
