M+M CEO Considered Pulling M10X Rifle From Canada After Brouhaha - CDN Gun Blog

Well let's see what 'sells'. An ad on the net isn't a sale, or maybe a trickle. Again, it's not so much about price (as I have many high priced items) but the manufacturer teabagging Canadians. The choice is to like it or not. Joyfully paying extra for a barrel job is obtuse.

I mean production numbers and units sold data to back up your claim that the rifle isn't selling

How do you know the two they show in stock are from March? Gun stores get shipments daily, they could have sold hundreds....

1) m&m does small production runs to meet demand, since demand is low. Feel free to ask m&m for his sales figures, even some ballpark number of units sold and report back, otherwise you are just speculating how "awesome" these things are selling.
2) i have been following the "in stock" for that actual rifle on center fire site for a couple months. It was "3" for the last 2 months, "5" in march. If you google search where to buy one of these it's on the first page. Nobody is buying them.
3) as much as you cream your pants over m&m and his overpriced wares, Americans have far better options at half to 1/3 the price... like real AK's, or 7.62x39 AR's. So again, these are not selling based on competition and the ####ty greed pricing

Why would I ask? You are the one claiming M+M can't sell rifles and you don't have any actual data to back it up other than Internet rumors and looking at one retailers online inventory which may never be changed to reflect true data

And yet you were still crying afoul before NS stepped in and took over from Wanstalls to jack the price up another 550$

Oh I didn't realize tons of people paid 1000$'s for.new.barrels for their already high priced (San, acr, uhmmmm!?!?!??!l)

So if it's NOW not about the price then what's with all this price pimp ####!??????

You just seem really Grumpy all the time.

Possible suggestion, go to your local Lowblaw/Metro/Sobey's and grab a box of bran flakes for the morning & make sure to get some metamucil while you are there aswell.

Or if those price pimps who shop there are to much for ya, I then suggest going to your local No Frills as Im sure they have their no name brand for pennies cheaper

the true "price pimps" are the ones posting what they bought instead of a $250 dollar deposit in that thread lol.
I had the money waiting. I’m assuming most did. I’d have paid in full if it was an option.
I’m guessing a couple of you are only playing devils advocate for fun. This thread will either discourage people from buying, or increase the interest. It seems like the early numbers were around 100 on the presale by ws. No one can be sure. I’m guessing the number is closer to 50 now. If this rifle sells more than 200 in Canada, I’ll be surprised.

LMFAO!!! You seem to have left out the fact that the balance will eventually need paid. Still costs the same amount of $ no matter which way you try and disguise it.
Still costs more than what I bought instead.
The way I look at it I saved me some money.
Just because I bought something else already doesn't mean I have money to "pimp".
If others want to unnecessarily spend more who am I to judge. Good luck. I hope everyone who gets one enjoys it. I'm enjoying what I got instead.

On the WS pre-sale thread i counted 74 that said order placed, meaning they ordered, there were probably more but i got borred and stopped counting :D

One dealer offering the m10x at the new price was bragging that with every post on this rifle they sell more and more :D so they might have sold 10 :)

If what you say is true, then a shrewd business move would be to sell us the version that retails everywhere in the USA for $1100, not a tatted up version for $2000 with dmr safety and gas block. Nobody thinks those things are worth $600 - 900 - probably not even you.

Except that m&m has now boosted US MSRP to $1649, the us conversion of $2000 Canadian. Although the us dealers are all still selling at $1100, so we know that hike is BS and simply meant to quiet discord in Canada.

But please, continue on. The world is was less stressful through the rose tint in your spectacles, I gather. The only guy on cgn to walk into a truck dealer and not ask for the standard $10k factory discount, employee pricing scam, or what have you.

I think I get more flak from some because it appears I am defending M+M pricing of this rifle. So let me clear that up. I KNOW they put the price above what it should sell for here. I have said before that they are trying to say the rifle they will manufacture for sale here is going to have a bunch of upgraded parts over the previous $1250 US MSRP model. I have stated that without seeing the rifles side by side its impossible to know how much added value is ACTUALLY in the rifle to justify some increase... and there very well may be some... but not enough to get to $2k.

That is the Non-Restricted markup that I hve pointed out exists on almost every other rifle out there.

My points have largely been this:

1. Wanstalls has been given a pretty big pass by guys here because of the blind anger at M+M... much of which is from untrue beliefs. There is tons of proof now that M+M has always planned on selling their 18.5" "upgraded" M10x for $1500 US and $2k CAD. Just because US dealers almost always sell below MSRP deant mean the same fro Canadian dealers. Apples and oranges marketwise. I do believe M+M on this issue.

2. The rifle itself does seem like a decent rifle that so far has been backed by M+M reasonably well when people have issues with it. I see a lot of speculation from guys angry about one thing just blanket stating the rifle is crap too because of that anger. I for one think it is worty of a shot since most I have read is nothing but positive... it is the price that sours many and that is ok... but just direct anger in the right direction.

Btw... I actually got a killer deal on my new F-150 :)

Everyone has their own perspective on things, but I can 100% guarantee you M&M and NS have sold at least one less rifle post-shenanigans, because I went from definitely buying to 100% committed to definitely NOT buying one.

5 less ...... same herei

Saw that. Was a classy post for sure. In his defence though, He probably does alright on the sale, but 20 rifles is hardly something to brag about.

At the price WS was offering them plus the pre-order if it would have been open for another week they could have reached 300+ sales. And at that amount M+M would have been working years to fill the order :). Hence they say that the demand is overwhelming. I wonder what they gonna say when they see how much demand dropped based on the orders they got after the new DMR price was announced.

Go look at what was posted, lots of items well over the $1450 presale

I was stating a fact. Every time people bash a product on CGN sales go up for some reason.

A price pimp (once again ) is someone who encourages dealers to jack the price up by running their mouth. "I'll pay anything." So, as foretold by the great eye, few will sell and they will be reclassified due to low numbers. In any case I'll eat a Snickers and you can not be butt hurt with every little comment. Fair enough? You have tiger blood and you're #winning.
