M14s 2500rd Review and a DIY Mod-Stock walk through

I feel the end of the trigger digging into my finger abit now the angle of my hand has changed .
I dont like the price of them but its the only game in town I believe.

I felt the same way, but I bit the bullet and bought one. It makes the trigger feel great!

I've been thinking about using the old stock for hunting after I stipple it...but this might be better, or at least more fun. If you had to do it over again OP what would you do now/different? Winter projects are just around the corner.

I'll let you know how it feels. I find my trigger pull feels quite different now that I have a stock with a pistol grip (one of M14doc's stocks) vs standard USGI stock.. Have one of H2Oman's trigger shoes inbounds. Curious to see the difference.

Katana ...I had a 1/2 in riser and cut some of the front off .I then used 2 part epoxy in a couple layers and painted it again.

Thanks Odd Shot , I have read other people liked them as well .

Can I ask you guys whats the price of the trigger shoe shipped ?

That sure looks like an Italian BM59.

I wanna say it was $77USD including shipping, so ballpark $100CAN...

i am really curious this is an awesome mod,I am ordering parts now with some slight adjustment of my own preferred style is the buffer assy actually functional i am very experienced with the m16 ,c7 Canadian army and Ar15 and the buffer is in direct contact with the bolt in recoil reducing the recoil. Do you think think not using it would change anything.I am not doubting anything just curious if any one has thought about this .

It is not possible to use a buffer assembly with an M14 rifle operating system. So you just need the tube for this mod.

I don't get your question. All you are doing is cutting off the butstock from original m305 stock and adding buffer tube, adapter and stock piece to fit the buffer tube. M14 doesn't require buffer tube. Op rod and guide spring act as the recoil systme you speak of. If I understand correct

parts list said buffer assembly not buffer tube. I assumed it meant buffer, spring and tube but guess it only meant the tube my mistake. I didnt want to purchase parts that weren't required thanks for quick response.I will post pics as soon as i receive my parts

Hey, just a heads up for anyone thinking of doing this. I just picked up a stock adapter with A2 grip at Target sports for $40. Marked as half off.
