Nice collection!!!! GAP uses authentic PGWDTI M40 forward accessory rails on their builds, not airsoft junk. Finally received the m40a5 build by GA Precision. It is much heavier than M24. Overall feels very nice.

It was quite the process to get selected for that contract with the USMC. We had the rail on a rifle that we were demoing to SOCOM in Yuma, there were people there from all branches. The head of the M40 project contacted us and we submitted samples, and we had a pile of other companies rip off our design. I had one USMC Sniper request one for his 'personal rifle', in advance of the contract award. This was going well until he forgot he wasn't on his hotmail account, and was using his email at his father in laws company, Iron Brigade Armory. We ended up having to prove to the USMC when we first made this item, and they picked us as it was clear we were first by a long shot to produce such an item.
After the contract award, we had three 2112 armorers come up from Quantico for training on how to install the lower part of the rail. Awesome dudes, it was a lot of fun. I made fixtures for their milling machines, wrote the program and procedures and sent them on their way.
The three guys were very good poker players apparently, they went to Club Regent in Winnipeg, and got banned because they won a substantial amount of money.
It's pretty cool to be watching news footage, or a documentary of USMC Snipers and see something you designed and manufactured!!
