Marihuana at Hunting Camp.

I guess the difference is if you hunt solo or with close buddies, rules aren't necessary.

If you hunt in large groups with acquaintances who are paying for accommodations , rules might be necessary.

I hunt for the hunt and not to sit around a campfire singing kumbiya.

We have plenty of time for socializing around a campfire but those are called camping trips not hunting trips.

Come to think about it, we don't have rules on camping trip either.

Haha.... that picture is my buddy and his son playing guitar.... likely a Johnny Cash song.... and I imagine that the toker in camp is outside with his altoids tin and tiny scissors.... Did you guys always have a forty of Smirnoff on the table at your youth group? That reminds me.. guy in the pic drinks vodka and coke (gross).... I best make a rule banning that :)

As long as I can remember there has always been a long running feud between sudsers and pot heads.

Trust me gramps, those days are long gone. No one cares what you put into your body as long as it doesn't hurt someone else.
I can only imagine your hunt camp rules.

And your response was: "Ok so I'm not a stoner as long as it's every other day, that's great news"

The definition of addiction means that you can't do without something... and that is a problem whether it's alcohol, weed, cocaine, meth, whatever.....

Again (for what feels like the 50th time), I don't have an issue with people smoking weed....

Ok so we are straight here, it's ok to have a beer at lunch but no weed. I believe those were your rules? Sorry SuperBrad but I will take my doctor prescribed medication as advised by my doctor. I could care less how others feel. I live to have the best quality life I can so as long as I'm happy that's all that's matters

Where did I say that?

You can have a beer to quench your thirst at lunch. Smoking a joint has only one purpose, to get you high. Anyway you look at it, recreational pot is for losers, who can't handle life, on life's terms. IMO

Quench your thirst lol, sounds like every drunk I've run across. Has to justify their craving for another drink to be able to function or cope with life's daily stresses, I know a couple people that have no off switch and will drink all the booze in the house till they black out or have no booze left. Can't say that about anyone I know that smokes weed, says a lot about who can't deal with life eh?

Nothin' tastes better than a good cold beer on a hot day, less of course it's that second beer, or third...

Sounds like you need to dry out, maybe talk to an addictions councillor.

No I'm old fashioned, none of this no alcohol or low alcohol. Just gimme a Blue, and it better not be a Blue Light!.

Blue, oh man you might as well drink piss. Old fashioned is right...

OMG, I'm an addict, I just can't go 1 day without oxygen, I try but I just can't do it. Oxynon here I come.:)

I don’t buy that “one beer” rule, I know for a fact I would blow over after a beer (mind you I rarely drink)

Once pot is legalized, will smoking a joint with lunch be the same as having a beer with lunch? I would think so.

No you wouldn't. Thats not how BAC works.

..........5- we run dogs at camp and do several runs a day.. usually from about 7 to 2...... we break for lunch at noon..... at which point everyone is allowed one beer...... nothing more..... also, many of us go out for the “night watch”....if you go out for night watch, then no alcohol or anything else for you until you get back.....

Also. Don't you have to be a guide or outfitter to charge money? I'm honesty not sure.

This reminds me of an episode of Three and a half men.
Berta telling Charlie, "You're a nookie junkie Charlie"...........................Laugh2

Some oh you folks need bawxzers.

Nowhere there does it say nobody can smoke weed...... it’s never come up actually.....

Jesus; no-one wants to have rules now? Leave Superbrad alone on this... you are getting too involved in what ought to be a simple debate. If you want to get Butthurt about Fudd's yammering on about Junkies, ( and Fudd's generally just regurgitate anti-drug drivel from the 70's - 80's ) I can understand that.
Or some Chronic ( that is a term that doesn't make you sound like a Guidance Counselor from 1980..) is telling you "Pot doesn't count...I can handle it... "...yeah heard that one too. Burn them down...there is the road.
But no rules doesn't work once you get past 3-4 guys; not that I've experience hunting with that many, but lots of experience running crews otherwise. There generally has to be an Alpha; friends or not, someone has to grab the reins. If you are all old friends; then you've likely vetted the 'Wild card's " long ago ( Let's call them 'Stan's'...after The Deer Hunter...no drugs or alcohol bias there, just a dummy )...then you are so familiar that you don't need to state the obvious rules that generally come with a group.
SB owns it, his rules...
If you own it and want no rules, your deal...good luck.
The guidelines he puts forth seem sane and not terribly Draconian.

This is going nowhere now, some people are obviously extremely against weed being anywhere near them in general(even if it is legalized). Some believe that anyone who has more then a 6 pack of beer a week makes them an alcoholic and someone who smokes a joint to unwind when they get home from work is a stoner.

Others seem to take the stance that baileys with breakfast, and a flask and joint in the woods are perfectly ok.

But most just can't seem to figure out if they can smoke a joint at superbrads camp which I find odd because I very much doubt most will ever be at superbrads camp.
