the bushing on mine is really rough almost have to hit it with hammer to make it move..The accuracy on mine is really bad. I don't know if its the sight but its clearly inferior to any 1911 i have

Your next set should translate into" .45 cal. LEAD NUT PUNCH!" My kinda karate!!! Nice grips!

Thanks! The other "nickname" for Aikido is "Origami with people" I was shown a pretty good gun disarm move - and a pretty good gun retention move - both by the same guy (dead now, heart attack). He was once given a pistol by one of his students who'd taken it away from an attacker (who likely had his wrist broken) before it could be fired. Not saying I could do that, but..
Counting the days - estimated time of arrival July 4. Good thing that's not a holiday in Canada!

My order was placed May 28 - they took my money on June 3rd - still waiting to get an email with the transfer reference number info so I can complete the transfer and get on the wait list for shipping. All good things come to those who wait - I hope :)

For us in B.C. expect to wait 2 months to get it in your hands. Maybe a bit less since the first flood of orders are over?

Finally got shipping notice today at 6:15pm without user intervention (as in I didn't fax in my reg. cert. nor call/email CanAm for status).

Apr 24, ordered
Apr 29, CC Charged
May 19, transfer initiated
June 12, Transfer approved
Jun 19, reg. cert. via snail mail
Jul 2, shipped

Total ten weeks to get pistol, a record :)
Web site still shows "waiting for approval" despite receiving the cert via snail mail last wed, June 19. Issue date is June 12. Wonder if I'll ever get this without buyer intervention.

Ordered my SIG 1911 holster for my Scorpion off fleaBay today so the race is on to see if the holster or the NORC will arrive first; the last snail loses.

I need some advice. I received a letter from the Chief firearms office, Chief firearms officer of Saskatchewan.
They want me to mail in or fax a copy of my club membership to the Chief firearms officer of Saskatchewan in Miramichi NB?
I would rather fax this to speed it up, but why is the SK office in NB? I live in Regina, is there an office in the city?
So after I fax this in, do I need to do some other steps to get my combo on its way?

CFO's are sharing the load .. Fax to N.B. Do not pass go do not collect $200, but speed up the approval ..

When you get your approval . Fax a copy to Canada Ammo , to again speed up the process as much as you can ..

Yes your copy may be two or three days longer getting to you from the office in N.B. Buy mail, but only other recourse is to call local CFO office ask them this Question and you may get lucky enough to catch someone who will give you expedited service, but with all the action around this sale, many CFO employees may have exhausted their supply of helpfulness ..

Sit back and enjoy this ride ...

I don't have my RPAL. Can I ship to someone that does, then get my RPAL?

It would have to be registered into his name so essentially he would own it, he can sell it to you once you get your Rpal. Have you started the Rpal process? If you are just a few weeks away from getting it i am sure CanAm would hold one for you with a deposit.

You need an Rpal to buy a restricted ..

You have two options ..

1. Have someone with Rpal buy the unit .. They take you to range you get to play while you wait for Rpal course and the 40 days for approval after .. Then they sell to you and CfO transfers unit to your Rpal

2. No friends with Rpal .. Then you need to trust seller .. Buy unit .. They hold for the time it takes to get Rpal and then do transfer request .. Now you have to be prepared to give them the funds to hold or an agreed upon sum .. The seller would have to agree also , as results in additional storage , and security, and management of funds on their part .. I guess it would depend on how many arrangements they have accepted already and their comfort zone ..

So short answer ... No!

That is the world record. Mine took 9 weeks April 26 to June 27. Anyone have any ideas on a special award???

Well sorry about the delays with some of you guys. I ordered my second combo June 17th and it shipped today July 3rd. Strange. Could be politics or could be the sheer numbers in population in bc and ont...

and the canpar truck showed up at 9:30 this morning(july 4th). One day from bc to sask! Wow thanks canam.
