PAL "in progress"

Upgrading from PAL to RPAL:

Sent app by regular mail: March 26, 2009
App recorded received: April 03, 2009

Called in today (April 23) asked for an update the lady told me the application was received and she was sending it off now to the CFO for final approval and asked if I had time to do my interview now. I said yes was transfered and went through my interview and was told my references would be contacted shortly.
 
Sent my application out on March 12, 2009. Both references and I were contacted on April 7. However, the status did not show up on RCMP website.

Called them today, license issued April 16, 2009.
Now I'm just waiting for it to come in the mail.

Congrats! I am still waiting for mine to be approved, no references called yet, and tomorrow will be day 28 for me so hopefully some good news coming my way soon!

Whats your first purchase going to be?

Buying Remington 760 carbine in 308 for the wife off a friend.

Looking for a couple pump 20 gauges and something for me, probably an older sporterized military P17 or??
 
March 28th: non-restricted course and exam + restricted exam done
April 16th: Received a letter stating I successfully passed the restricted exam
April 17th: Received my certificate card for non-restricted course
April 19th: Went to a local police station to give my rPAL application

Now waiting, nothing online so far (well, it's only been 6 openable days so far ;P)
 
Challenged both exams the end of March and shipped my applications out April 2nd and online status says.

Today I called the 1800 # and the nice woman on the phone transfered me to another agent to do my phone interview, so looks like my references are the last thing I guess. I called once other than today. Let you know what happens.

Rivalen. You should see it on the CFC (now RCMP) website in two weeks or so, I went to the police station march 30th, the CFC got it april 6th but it was on the website only a week ago. Yesterday I got a call from the CFC, answered a few questions, he called my references and my RPAL (I already have my PAL) is in the mail. It took less than 28 days.
Yours will probably be a bit longer since it's your "first" application, they will check if you haven't done anything wrong in your life, etc.
It's just a matter of waiting, at first I thought the police officer still had my application on his desk (I can't trust a police officer to do something I should have the control on) but it's just that they process the applications in order, Canada is big and from the last stats on the CFC website, we are more than a few to send applications in the mail.

Checked Status Today:

Your application has been processed and your licence has been issued. If you have not received your licence within 2 weeks please contact the Canada Firearms Centre.

Now to get my M14 that is waiting for me from another CGNer!

For anyone else that is wondering this is the way things went:

March 27 - Sent Off Application

April 1st - Application Received

April 16th - Was put into the database (Said April 1st application recieved)

April 29th - Licence issued

No reference checks or anything. This was for PAL not RPAL In Newfoundland.

Hang in there guys the wait seems like forever, but it is nice to log on and see "licence issued" even if I did have to wait 4 weeks to see it. :dancingbanana::runaway::D
 
Checked status today:

My brother and I sent ours the same day. Thay called references a few days later for both of us.
Application recieved march 16/09

My brother recieved his 2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting. Am I denied?
