Q What is the criteria for hosting a PRS associated event?
A. ALL 2014-15 Matches will be carefully selected based on their professional experience, practical shooting skills offered, and PRS shooter and committee reviews:
¨1. Max velocity of 3200fps for all calibers -- MD’s are encouraged but not required to check velocity on a reliable system.
¨2. Provide an arbitration period prior to announcing final match results.
¨3. Each PRS event is an individual competition event based on individual effort and performance. The PRS has always promoted coaching, mentoring and helping newer shooters get into the sport and to do better at matches, however, in an effort to preserve competition fairness, coaching other shooters, particularly skilled shooters or team mates during the shooters time on the stage is not allowed. ALL competitors should adhere to the intention and integrity level designed within the stage created by the Match Director.
¨4. MD’s must offer a verifiable scoring system which confirms the shooters score immediately after the individuals stage of fire, verification must either be verbal or a shooter initialed acknowledgement immediately after the stage.
¨5. Must present a fair and balanced scoring system to the PRS committee (shot target value must be consistent, no one shot can be valued more than 3 times the value of the average shot value.)
6. MD’s must have a minimum of two experienced spotters on any steel target past 950 yds or use reactionary back-ups.
¨7. MD's must be a member of the PRS and have must have prior PRS match participation experience.
¨8. Participate in the Range Officer Appreciation Program —Program is designed to further reward and increase quality volunteer RO’s at our matches. Up to 5 designated RO’s from previous PRS matches have first priority and a discounted entry (min. $150 off) to any other participating PRS match of their choice. (No more than five RO’s per match are eligible to receive the 1- time per year discount at any one match.)
¨9. All PRS associated events and MD's must be capable of holding and managing a minimum of 45 shooters. Events must have 45 registered to shoot two weeks prior to to the event date, if 45 shooters are not registered at that time, the event will no longer be applicable for PRS points.
¨10. MD's and PRS will work together to bring more value to the sponsors of PRS matches, which includes but not limited to; shipping banners to other match venues, creating sponsor advertising at the match and sharing it with PRS, creating videos or match pics to be distributed to sponsors and the PRS.
¨11. Offer online After Action Reports to all shooters and share the results with the PRS

12. MD's are responsible to ensure their match staff, volunteers, range officers or other spectators do not call out any scoring related judgment other than the words "IMPACT". Unless safety is concerned, any other call or correction that could be construed as aiding the shooter, shall not be made during the course of fire. If a call is not made, it should be considered a miss by shooter, should the shooter appeal the miss within his shooting time the spotter may give an general assessment or the spotter may also rely on other spotters, or designated spotters of which may be appointed competitors for confirmation, the final decision rest in the scoring range officer or MD if needed.
