Well at least now when they cost you your deductible for the $2 in change on your seat you know it cost them 3-4K for the equipment. :p

A short clip of FA supressed ACR #### fron the FB3G mach this past weekend..

Of course I think unsupressed FA in .308 is more fun...

There is a .308 version. It is the Massoud that was mentioned earlier. However, it's still a Magpul Prototype and has not been leased to any manufacturing company yet.

Pics of the production Remington ACR. I understand what the original poster means. I'm not sure if they really improved on the original Magpul design/concept. However I reserve final judgment until I can test it.

Coming to a store near you in January 2010. Or so rumor has it

This is supposed to be the production, final version of the ACR. I don't like some of the changes, and all around, find the end product slightly less desirable. Remington went a little overboard with the rail.

Maybe it's just me, but I think the stock rail is too short. I'd probably want the polymer foregrip like the ones seen in with the Masada prototype. Especially for a 16" carbine. I have no idea why they made such a short rail.

I agree FPembleton. I'm not sure I like having the piston exposed like that. I would suspect it could attract a lot of dirt but I'm no expert.

Some people still want metal instead of polymer. Which I can understand to a point.

I do like the polymer lower, the stocks and the fact the upper has the serial number and not the lower.

Not sure given considering how often the State Department changes what can be exported.

However, given that we can get Bushmaster and Remington firearms up here I would say eventually yes.

My guess is that we won't see them for at least a year as they likely will be too busy servicing the U.S. market.

I think the one good thing for us in Canada is that this can't be said to be a variant of the AR-15. Even though the fire control parts are shared, the lower isn't compatible with AR-15 uppers and it isn't even serialized.

Having said that, I'm only interested in a restricted length ACR. However, I'm really not interested in them if they're going to cost much more than a top of the line AR-15.
