Robarms XCR FAQ post

Mine went from 4 to 2 fairly quick. I'm at 2 now and it runs perfect, throwing brass 15 to 20 ft. On setting 1 get the odd FTE, so is it ok to leave it on setting 2?

I shot about 100 on 4, then another 200 on 3. Shot a couple rounds on 2 then decided to try 1. Left it there and haven't had any issues since. Probably have about 800 since on 1(reloads, norc and some nosler factory, tosses brass 8ft.

Mine hasnt left setting 2 since break in. I could be wrong but doesnt the manual say 60 rounds? Mine runs flawlessly on 2. Went to 3 with some surplus but that was only a few mags

I think I may have started on 2 , can't quite remember , I did whatever wolverine told me anyway. That was 3 was ago. I believe I started on 2 and today was the second outing. It was on 2 and throwing the brass about 15 or so ft. Tryed it on 1 and got a stovepipe ( the empty casing didn't quite make it out ?). So I put it back on 2 . I'll just leave it there for awhile longer. Thanks for the info ....

Ran on 4 for a 1000. On 1 since no issues. Yes I know needless wear (actually just a dumb ass)but she is running smooth no issues and no unusual wear.

Finally got to the range today, the scope is awesome, just not what I'm looking for... Back to the drawing board..:) After 500 rnds , it runs 100% on setting 2. Don't like setting1.

thought i would share my xcr-L photos. have about 400 rounds down it now and and very happy with the rifle. only had one issue so far during the break in. i had a failure to eject and the fallowing round was crushed by the fired case stuck in the action. since then no issues. throws brass really nice on gas setting 2. had an interesting time trying to get the rifle zeroed with a serious lack of consistency but things came together by the end of the day. not entirely pleased by the grouping but i haven't tried more than one type of ammo (bulk federal/american eagle). I'm running a vortex prism 3x sight. all said and done I am happy with the gun. can't wait to get out and shoot some more!

some cleaning

What you can do, is to look if you have the screw's brass deflector problem...

When I first received my rifle (2nd generation but not with the FAST stock), it was jamming a lot, for an unknown reason...
Specially after a few dozen rounds (when heat expends metal parts)...
After cleaning and lubing everything up, I still had that kind of "bolt-back" jam...

I took a snake-camera to get into the chamber and watch the action go...
I found out that the screw from the brass deflector was protruding into the chamber and hitting the extractor of the bolt, everytime I make the rifle cycle...

Took the brass deflector's screw out, counted the number of threads that was getting into the chamber.
Took the Dremel/Grinding wheel and a pair of pryers, took me around 2 minutes to get 3 threads off the screw...

So if it's your problem, here's how you can take care of it...

First take the upper off the lower so you can see what your doing. Next, tighten the brass deflector's screw down until it feels snug to your satisfaction.
Now count the number of threads that are coming through.
Take the screw back out and mark it for the same number of threads and remove the excess.

Be sure to use pliers or vice grips to hold the screw because it will get hot quickly and if your not carefull you will fling it across the room, don't ask me how I know this. :d
I would not use red thread loktite because it may be very difficult to remove if you ever need to change deflectors for different calibers, so blue loktite would be fine.

Reassembled the damn thing, cycle the action a few times and it was working great... Went to the range later and it was working flawlessly, shooting rounds after rounds after rounds...

I'm wondering why they put a screw so long... Did they forget to drop a washer in or does the brass deflectors were made too thin?
My guess is that it was made long enough to fit different and thicker brass deflectors from different calibers.

Tell me if it helps you out!

That is so you can change the height of the fast stock. No need with the dlask adapter just bolt it on

I wasnt able to find any so I put keymod picatinney rails on instead. Im sure someone will chime in

You can order from Rainier arms, rails, rail covers, sling adapters. Having said that , I've been waiting about a month now. Also try armtac, ( I believe that's the right name) . And Wolverine has the 3.5 Rails.

Thought I might as well share my photo here since there's lots being shown. :)

I'll add to it by saying I've now had almost 2000 rounds downrange. no hiccups so far with feeding besides a couple times when I had dropped the mag in the mud, or other user caused issues. Finally got a torque wrench and snugged up my barrel bolt. Still have to get out and see if it'll tighten up the groups any. 100 yards easy under 2" its getting out to 200 and trying to keep it under 4" thats not being so simple.

Enjoy the photo!
