Shorten PAL Approval Times

Thanks for the advice Pistolwhiptricks. I will give the Ont. CFO a call to see if everything is in order.

My buddy who also did his interview and reference check on the same day as I, just received his license in the mail yesterday.

No problem. When I called the lady told me they were still going through August and Sept applications so these were kinda priority because they have been waiting longer but you can get them to push it through.

In Ontario, the instructor sends the test results to the CFO, Ontario (in Orillia). They, after they review and stamp them, mail them to you in the envelope(s) -one for each of CFSC and CRFSC- that you addressed to yourself (in your own handwriting) and given to the instructor. Patience.

When mine was delayed and I called the CFO (via the CFC 800 number) I got a call back (I honestly was not expecting a call back) from a very nice lady explaining the reason for the delays (hunting season) and she gave me an idea as to when I (in Ottawa) might expect to receive the results (and her estimate was pretty well right on, including one of two results that was NOT even received by CFO in the same week). Delayed split posting by examiner.
 
Looks like they've processed my application enough to cash my cheque heh, it went through my bank yesterday
 
28th DAY its 1AM here and its my 28th day I GOT IT!!
I was so surprised I cheaked earlier today (yesterday) and it was still proccessing, now 4 hours later on the 28th day and 1 hour I got it!!!!

Now I hope it doesnt take too long in the damn mail!!!

so ####ing happy right now! PAL btw.
 
My application was received on Dec.8-th.
Last Friday (Dec 10) the status on-line was still "No information"
This morning it says that the initial processing stage is complete, it is now "In Progress" and I have the application number listed.
I just contacted them and was advised to call back on Wednesday to get my interview done (after I explained that I'm not always available at the number provided on the application).

First thing Wednesday call them. I'd say 08:30
and get your two references to be ready to call the extension whose number you're going to ask the interviewer to give you (since your references are not always able to "receive" phone calls. They might be in the middle of performing open-heart surgery or .......Nah. Stick with the truth; it's easier to remember. Good luck!

Must'ave been a Non-R-PAL. Right?
For R-PAL, I believe they always call (or get the applicants and references to call.)
Whichever it was, Merry Christmas................

December 15th = Online status shows that the license has been issued. Exactly 28 days after they received it!

Time between taking the exams until license is issued = 39 days
Time between application received by the CFC until license is issued = 28 days
Time between taking the exams until license is in hand = ?

This is shaping up to be one of the better holiday seasons in recent memory :) :) :)

Just recieved my test results from the CFC in Orillia; 8 weeks plus 3 days after finishing the course.

Faxed it off, debating wiehter or not to call in, probably going to wait till tomorrow. Wont make a difference anyway, Ill be on vacation soon :)
