Shorten PAL Approval Times

Current Status: Your application has been withdrawn. If you require more detailed information please contact the Canada Firearms Centre Toll Free number. (1-800 731-4000)

Called and found out this was due to duplicate applications(my first was dropped in mailbox without postage but apparently made it there anyways.) Second application was withdrawn, had my interview and had my references call in. So going by the date they received my first application, tommorrow is the 28th day.

Urghhhhh, the CFOs office is saying there is a giant backlog that will result in applications taking 4-7 weeks additional time....>Sounds like they are waiting for the election results---until a new boss comes in lol

Called in today to give them an alternate phone-#, ended up getting my interview done.

One little concern, the interviewer got all uptight when she asked about if I had suffered a job-loss.

I kinda stumbled and admitted I had left one employer for another higher-paying job, last Oct.

Which wasn't noted on my application as it wasn't a loss in my eyes, it was a gain...

She was very concerned, even typed what I said onto my file...

* one reference called in today, the other is calling tomorrow... Should have atleast my PAL-# in time for the local gun-show on Easter weekend..!

:)

Exactly 28 days.

Called Alberta CFO to get LTATT, and got my number, but no LtATT until I've made a purchase? I was told I could fax my membership in and have it on file.

Well its been 8 days since I was approved (actually 10 cause I was approved on Saturday) and I still haven't received my plastic yet. Everyone should take this into consideration after they are approved. At least another week of waiting.

Funny though.. I did receive my a registration notice for a gun I purchased from Marstar. CFO gave me my number so I phoned Marstar and passed it on for the gun I had on hold. Looks like that process has started. It will suck if the gun arrives and I still don't have my plastic. I can't buy bullets.. LOL..
