i called back a day later and it was recived :)

then 10 days later all interviews were done, i called in and they said wait 2 more weeks until 28 days over.

I just finished my interview with them today. Would u recommend calling them to check/"remind" them to call my references? I also read somewhere i can get my references to call into the RCMP instead of waiting for their phone call. Is this true?

Xopher.. I had my references call.. They said they knew they were listed as a reference for my PAL and wanted to call in to make sure they didn't miss the call. CFO interviewed them right on the spot.

I'm still waiting for my approval. They entered my receive date wrong so unfortunately I have to wait 28 days after the date they entered. Oh well.. At least it wasn't 4 months like a friend of mine.

Yes, true.

:( its so sad that it takes our government 28 days + all the wait time in between (can add up to quite a few months), while it takes the FBI approx. 10 minutes to do a complete check at the store. If the Safety Course needs to be implemented they should just have it at the store :p

And I hope the guy @ Target Sports was ####ing with my head, really don't want to wait 8 months ---but judging by most posts, including Ontario (where I am) the wait time doesnt drag longer than about 3 months including the application testing processing issuing etc.

I have completed 3 weeks (application received at CFC March 10th) of 28 day waiting period for my RPAL. My interview is completed and both my references have called in and completed their interviews. I think its just a waiting game now. Hopefully will be able to purchase a Gen 4 Glock 17 soon.

Just want to thank everyone here for the advice posted(I wish I found this forum before, I waited for my test results to come back before I mailed it). I did my pal/rpal course the first week in January and a few weeks later got my test results back. I then sent it to the CFO and they received it Feb 10. I had my interview a couple weeks later and when I got home today it was in the mail. From what I have read this is pretty good time as I am in Ontario. It was only a couple months(almost 3) but it felt like 6 just waiting. Well I have a few guns picked out allready so it is off to see how much money I can spend now.

o who do they exactly call and what are they suppose to say?
"Hi RCMP, I am a reference for so and so's PAL/RPAL application, can i verify hes an awesome person so he doesnt have to wait any longer?"

Like I said earlier

Have them call the regular CFO number and explain to the person answering. I actually think the CFO prefers this as they don't have to track down your reference.

This might seem like a silly question, and has probably been asked somewhere in the 118 pages, but...

Would I need to provide the results from my CFSC course along with my CFRSC results if I already have a valid PAL? Something tells me the Government loves redundancy, but I could be wrong.

(upgrading to RPAL, if not already obvious.)

Sent Feb 23
Recieved March 4
Licenced issued April 1

Called yesterday to see how everything was going and the lady said it'll be 2 more weeks cause it didn't get into the system till Mar 17. Guess she was reading the interview dates so was pretty relieved to see it issued this morning.

Now got to hope it gets here by friday cause I have to go close to Virden Saturday and wolverine supplies has some deals going on that day.
