now to wait for BC cfo

called BC cfo = told it wont be long...

Update: just called and found out that they are still in the process of scanning my photo to my file at the RCMP, then they will send it to my local CFO for final review.

The clerk said "we're swamped with applications right now, but it will be done within 60 days worst-case."

That works for me.

My application came online, and I called in (in hopes to do my interviews and everything).

As I am in Ontario, I sent away my application before the course results came in. Once the results were received, they were immediately mailed off.

On my online status it says I am missing information. When I phoned in, they confirmed it was my course results that they were waiting on. She mentioned that "well hopefully they can match up the course results with your application".

That got me worried... why would she say hopefully? Would there not be a folder with my name marked on it with my application inside, and once said results came in... they go retrieve that folder and carry on?

I'm sure all is gonna go smoothly, man. My advice: call back in a few days. How long ago did you mail off the test results? Did you send them via regular mail or Expresspost?

I believe that both CFO, Ontario and CFC have a special folder that's under a desk there, where "some" papers fall in when they are slipped through the crack between the desk and the wall. File 13.
It is checked for "lost or missing or mis-placed" files during every other Spring Cleaning.

Sent regular mail. I forgot to mark when I sent them off. Rough time estimate would be the 28th-ish. Day I recieved them they were off (had an envelope all ready made up).

Took about 8 days for the application to get there. Figure same timeline for results, but a little longer due to Canada Day long weekend. So estimate they should be already be there/be there shortly. Just a matter of them putting the 2 items together.

I sent the originals of what was sent to me from my test results. Didnt make a copy (stupid me!).

Say the test results had never made it to me, who would I have called to get them resent?

I know they have application on file, just waiting on the results. So worst case scenario, I could just resend those if they dont find them/put them together.

You could always proactively check with your course instructor, get a second copy, and Expresspost them off then follow-up. Personally, after learning the hard way years ago, I dot every "i" and cross every "t" now. I absolutely love following up and making sure they can't mess it up. After all - no one looks out for you like you do. If you want something done right, always do your due diligence.

100% agree. Not that I dont trust anyone, and I try not to be negative... but I find that the world nowadays is filled with more morons/lazy-sacks-of-#### than ever before. So in order to get anything done, I usually take it upon myself.

Still no stamped course results

Its been 4 weeks now and still no Stamped course results back from the Ontario CFO

My min 28 day waiting period is up next Thursday. It seems most guys are getting theirs back with 3 weeks or so. I wonder if the instructor forgot to mail it:eek:

That's crazy! It's probably just the Ontario CFO being painfully slow (I was kept on hold for 35 minutes recently). The instructor has to mail out your results legally within a certain time frame so I wouldn't worry about them forgetting. Keep haggling the CFO, call in and they can do a trace. They did for me! Good luck.

I don't understand the point of Ontario requiring them to mail the applicants form to the CFO. Do They not use the RCMP standard form in quadruples like they do here? (one to the CFO, one to the CFC one the instructor keeps and one goes to the applicant). Since this is a federal program why does the province have a different processes? This isn't just a CFO putting different restrictions on a license this is a completely different processes than the ones used in other places.

Passed my CRFSC yesterday, and the CFSC last week. Instructor said it would take 3-5 weeks for the results to be approved and sent back. Any idea if that's accurate for Ontario?

Well i'm over 4 weeks now and nothing....so ya thats about right, Plan for 4-5 weeks. Mail your app and don't wait around for the results.

My 28 days is today, and I was told that my photo still needs to be scanned to my file, but the clerk said "it will be done this week," so that was good news. It seems a lot is done on Fridays, specifically.

Stay tuned.

This is what it says for my app. Not sure what the whole process includes, just happy it found its place and not lost!
