In fairness to Marstar their original post stated their intent to “gauge interest” in importing the firearm, presumably so that they could do a cost vs return analysis before committing time and money into the endeavour. Looks like this is going to be hugely popular. Unfortunately some liberal minded bureaucrat in lockstep with Trudeau’s anti-gun policies, unilaterally decided that this single shot bolt gun was a menace to public safety and attempted to derail the project.

I appreciate any vendor’s attempts to support our sport and bring in new products.
 
You will need rimfire or center-fire Bolt head in the Bolt face diameter for that round.

Often a single bolthead will work with may calibers. In rifles there are over 20 cases that use a .473 bolt face diameter.

Of the listed calibers (22lr, 22wmr, 17hmr, 9mm, and 5.7x28) only the WMR and HMR share the same base diameter. =(
 
Yeah that's the bummer with those rounds. They aren't very compatible, I'd be interested in looking into making a barrel in 223 and using a 9mm bolt head

I believe making barrels for these will be pretty easy. So one could find the most common rim size of the mix and then do barrels in anything close to that size. And getting a bolt face opened up is pretty common and easy. As long as you can figure out the extractor
 
Might want to figure out what shares the same boltface diameter as 5.7x28. 32 S&W Long comes close, but whether that's close enough or the cartridge common enough might be a question.
 
A quick search indicates that 5.7 rim diameter is .307, base diameter .313.
That rim diameter, with associated boltface counterbore doesn't give many options.

We have been working with the firearms technicians at the Firearm Technology Unit and it seemed that have changed the FRT to "Non-Restricted"

MarstarCanada Are you able to confirm the N.R. status of this rifle? Also, any possible update on expected arrival dates for these in Canada?

Any word on caliber conversions or rifles in other calibers? From the responses here it seems you'll see a big bump in sales when the 9mm versions land...
 
Too bad a small rifle like the did not have a small 3,5 shot magazine …it’s a bolt action rifle?…if it did and had calibre change options…22 w r…9mm…10..and others
I’d be in for one …
