Where are you getting this info, or are you just sitting down and quitting?
Talk to your representatives, MAIL out letters and donate or join to the CSSA and NFA. I have donated before but just went and bought 2 year memberships to both. I'm not made of money but EVERY little bit they can get helps. The NFA is supposedly working with TSE and CSC to provide the RCMP with info to support the Swiss Arms being a variant of the Sig 540, NOT the 550.
Exactly, the reason the 12.6 "limbo" issue wasn't resolved in our favor was because the huge majority of owners affected just sold their stuff or dutifly turned it in without even whimpering. When the number was 50,000 people in 1998 there was a government incentive to solve the problem, by 2005 it was down to about 5,000 and only about 100 of us bothered to fight it. The result was the government no longer had any reason to solve the problem.
The larger the number of owners there are, the more likely that the issue is resolved in our favor.
All the people who cut and run or try to salvage their money, guarantee a loss.
I've seen this type of scenario play out now several times...
Sadly canadian gun owners on average seem to be moral cowards who talk a good game while listing their swiss arms (insert potentially affected firearm here) on the EE so that it becomes someone else's problem.
