A couple of us have the 17" inch flat top version of the Carbine.
The 14.3" carbine is more maneuverable though.
The CQB has a threaded barrel w/ removable flash hider.are the SAN barrels threaded?
I never had cause to measure mine but it must be 1/2x28.what's the thread pitch on the cqb?

I say this because I remember somebody putting a KX3 Pig on their CQB.
Naturally, they were soon given a dressing-down by another member.![]()
Ahhh... I'll take your word for it, my recollections are vague at best.I remember that too, but I specifically recall the pitch was DIFFERENT. The poster said Noveske had done a small run of the KX3's in the pitch needed for the Sig/Swiss Arms, and said it was definately NOT 1/2x28.
I can't find that thread for the life of me... but I saw it when I was deciding whether to buy the CQB or not.![]()
I've had swiss arms guns.
They are nice and I appreciate the operating system but I just can't justify tying up that much money in a gun.
Now the magazines, that's different. Truly a collectors item these puppies hold their value.
I love my swiss mag collection...true aficionados of the genre will note the 'Kampfhamster' mod to the six examples with magpuls.

I guess it depends on what you buy/shoot a rifle for. Except to sight my gun in, I never bench shoot for tight groups. I buy a rifle for reliability, durability, and accuracy. The Swiss and the other guns I own offer all three, but are not match rifles, nor do I want them to be.
Want a Swiss made match rifle? Check out Grunig & Elmiger. They have a website, but as they're not a sponsor, I can't link to it. Here's mine, in .308
It says sniper on the side.I hate you Nemo!!!!
I want your job, seriously....
5+ P210's, X-Fives, AIAW, DSR-1, ERMA SR-100 , Mauser SR-93, PS90
and now a SIG Sniper!!?!!!
I'm curious though Nemo, what are the markings on the side of the rifle? Does it say "classic green" like all the others?
