If I'm not mistaken didn't that, or some similar case go to court and they totally got busted on it?

precisely- but there's nothing to prevent them from doing the same thing again, and with a different judge, who knows
the admonition from the judge at the time to the rcmp firearms lab was that " you cannot MANUFACTURE the evidence to suit the crime-" which is what they were doing - altering either the weapon or the ammo so that it would fire f/a- that's why i have that big washer over my takedown pin and i can't take it off to clean in there

exactly. It costs them nothing to make you have to appeal their wrong decisions. I honestly hope the T97s are released, but it's looking grim, considering marstar's vz's were reclassed to prohib.

Of course we can help by writing letters and stuff

FWIW as of Saturday March 21 both restricted versions were still on the shelf.. still at the sale price.. and we handled the rifles just as we would have any other time. Only as we were handing them back the staff informed us of the transfer status.

I had thought maybe this is a sign rather than the guns being removed from active inventory or simply confiscated by the RCMP. But seeing as they have been removed from Lever's website, who knows.

I do hope this works out in our favour. I have no vested interest in it but this seems like more arbitrary decisions based on pure sh*t. Having been victimized by such dubious legislation in the past, I hate to see it happen again.

There are 2 things that could happen.. neither of them are in any of your hands so stop whinning, you are starting to sound like a bunch of old women. Yes I have one on order and I hope it gets released soon so I can shoot the damn thing. So stop taking it out on Can-am hes one of us and if it wasnt for guys like him we wouldnt see these kinds of firearms in our hands.

ps IBTl :D

That sucks man, make's me feel sorry for that poor little bullpup that they got their hands on, hey, maybe after they're released one of us will get a partial refund for a "lighty broken in" rifle instead of a brand new one.

What are these useless muppets up to again? Whose authority are they acting under? They most certainly fall under some form of federal jurisdication. I say identify the group, pressure the political leaders and get these dickweeds canned.

I cannot believe the amount of whining directed at Canada Ammo over this....

What the **** is this ....kindergarten?

The guy is trying to bring in a shipment of guns....he is NOT the one holding it up?....he wants to get paid?....he cannot get his hands on them until they release them?....he has very little say in the process?

WHY all the whining towards him...

If I were him...I would refund the monies to the whiners...and put them on a NO SELL TO LIST!

Then the rest of us could buy 2.

It would be nice if someone could clear this up on Monday but I guess that would be asking too much... It is almost like the RCMP is helping keep these rumors flying to help make us look like a bunch of fruit cakes to the government so that they ignore us on up coming bill to do in the door kickers list.

What we need is some gun nuts in the bureaucracy.

I am trying to work my way in and up, but please bear with me. In 10 years maybe I can get the shipment cleared.

All joking aside, I think the RCMP will release them soon because there is no legal justification to hold them indefinately.

Yup they are comming its just a matter of time. * insert prayer of your religion here *

T97 already here in a restricted model, so these having longer barrels will class as a non-restricted version.
Tavor already here - non restricted bull pup that takes the 10 rounders.

So, they have nothing to say about the T97.

while they may have nothing to say at the moment, they have nefarious ways and means to implement what they wished- in the last go-around, in one case, they DROPPED IN A FULL AUTO ASSEMBLY in order to get it to go full- BOLT AND TRIGGER GROUP- with a version of the t-97 also having that capability, they could try the same stunt- these guys filed sears, used underpowered ammo, and i don't know what all- at the end of the day, b/c these guns were restricted, you got a NOTICE TO COMPLY by mail and submit your gun for "TESTING" - IF YOU DIDN'T DO IT, THEY SENT UNIFORMS TO YOUR DOOR AND MADE YOU SIT AT YOUR KITCHEN TABLE WHILE THEY REMOVED THE FIREARM- you were compelled to tell them where it was- then somebody at the nfa ( probably tomlinson) discovered the dirty tactics being used and got a judge to implement standardized testing by COURT ORDER- they HAD to test the gun as CONFISCATED ,WITHOUT ALTERATION, and using STANDARD COMMERCIAL AMMUNITION- we got the uzis back, but i don't think any of the c/a stens made it back home- neither the mp5s, and whatever else they thought of
