Stop speculating...and given ideas for F-sakes.

Stop speculating I agree .

Really do you think that they are that dumb ,they know what there are doing and in the past they have used under handed techniques to achieve there goal . Nobody really knows the testing protocols and the methods to arrive at there decision .However this much we know there is a lack of communication from the RCMP whether it is a deliberate or other wise to the Importers of these firearms .

while they may have nothing to say at the moment, they have nefarious ways and means to implement what they wished- in the last go-around, in one case, they DROPPED IN A FULL AUTO ASSEMBLY in order to get it to go full- BOLT AND TRIGGER GROUP- with a version of the t-97 also having that capability, they could try the same stunt- these guys filed sears, used underpowered ammo, and i don't know what all- at the end of the day, b/c these guns were restricted, you got a NOTICE TO COMPLY by mail and submit your gun for "TESTING" - IF YOU DIDN'T DO IT, THEY SENT UNIFORMS TO YOUR DOOR AND MADE YOU SIT AT YOUR KITCHEN TABLE WHILE THEY REMOVED THE FIREARM- you were compelled to tell them where it was- then somebody at the nfa ( probably tomlinson) discovered the dirty tactics being used and got a judge to implement standardized testing by COURT ORDER- they HAD to test the gun as CONFISCATED ,WITHOUT ALTERATION, and using STANDARD COMMERCIAL AMMUNITION- we got the uzis back, but i don't think any of the c/a stens made it back home- neither the mp5s, and whatever else they thought of

If you were uninformed you would Voluntarily hand it over and let them carry on there merry way . If you were smart you would deny there request and demand that they return with a Writ of Seizure from the court for the item they wanted .As for your comment on the "You were compelled to tell them where it was " is BS the police may use intimidating talk or tactics to persuade to comply but remember this occurred before C68 came into effect , You were not compelled to do anything .AFIK all the Uzi's and Stens that were Voluntarily turned in for testing were never returned and destroyed

Why is it that so many CGN threads wind up #####ing and moaning and ascribing base motives to people who are only doing their job. If I were a Wendyite troll wanting to piss off the CFC to get them to give anybody wanting to import black ( or any new) rifle a hard time in the future, I couldn't do a better job than is being done in this thread. Even the thread title is negative for G-d's sake!

Hey john there Are things going on with certain guns. To deny it is stupid.

And the antis don't need our discussions to come up with nefarious ways to #### us over.

Marstar's latest batch of vzs were originally classed as restricted. When they got here, they were reclassified to prohibited. John from marstar has a meeting in Ottawa this week.

He said this in the "recent rumors regarding frt changes" thread in discussions and alerts. Maybe it's in action center.

I agree with you but there's no need to get personal about the working level FRT staff which is what I see happening here. I know a few of them and they're all good gun people and not closet lieberals dreaming of Wendy's fat thighs. The rot is higher up with the liberal appointed burrocracy, which is where the cleanup and the transfers to some other department (Canadian Heritage?) has to happen.

The other issue is the fact that you're dealing with public servants who are not rewarded for doing a good job but only punished if they screw up. Screwing up only means that however well you do your job, you are done if some media a**hole finds out that these evil black guns can be made to go full auto by the average Jane-Finch ******** Posse ganjahead then the prime minister is made to look like a Canuck lite version of the Lord of War by the slack jawed lieberal hoplophobes, the secessionists and the socialist weirdos. So they will try everything in the book to make sure the guns will only do what they are purported to do.

You will only get rid of the root problem when you no longer have legislation allowing these tests and classifications to take place - but until then, the law has to be followed

then why is there an uzi sitting in my safe?- it was gone for a year or more, and it's got that big honking washer mod on the take down pin that they insisted on, but i've still got it

Norinco Type97

I can't seem to find any Type 97's on the lever arms site. What happened? I thought they were restricted but still available. :(

That sound you hear is that of s**t falling towards the fan... I just got off the phone with the CFC and was told that all three listings they have for T97 and T97A rifles are now classed as fullauto prohibited firearms. I don't know what the Canadaammo rifle is called but the Leverarms units are now prohibited.
