Tavor FAQ (updated 08 December, 2008)

I had the same issue with my new X95 and I had watched a bunch of YouTube videos and had the same issue. I had to pull really hard on the bolt rotation rod and I finally heard a click and then the pin pushed out with zero effort. I put on a mechanics glove for a better grip. Don't use pliers or vice grips...I got so pissed off I was tempted!
I just cleaned it again last week and again I had to pull hard, but not as hard as the first time. Rotating it slightly as I pulled seemed to help. It took a surprising amount of effort, not at all like I saw on the YouTube videos.
Spraying a little lube where the rod goes into the bolt carrier should help.

You rock. Worked perfectly. It definitely took some serious force to get it to budge.

Hey fellas, I want front and back QD attachments on my Tavor. I have the Mesa adapter for the rear. What options are there for the front? Have any of you guys modded your Tavor so the "Tavor SAR Sling Swivel Attachment Kit" would work? Is there much to it?

Guide on how to strip the captured recoil spring. Note that a cleaning rod segment is the perfect length to do this if you don't have a dowel.

Is anyone able to tell me the measurement on the X95 from the gas block front to the muzzle thread shoulder. Looking to order a slip over fake can but I want to get the right length. Thanks in advance.

Can’t wait for my x95 to come in. Trying to find a left hand bolt has proven difficult. Checked all sponsors nothing. Any ideas cgners?
Generally its not a instock kept item. Wherever you ordered your X95 from should be able to order you one. Alternatively you can contact North Sylva for one. This guy here has one for sale. 250$ seems a bit much for a used one to me. I bought mine for 180$ new back in the day. But that day was a decade ago. So maybe 250$ is not unreasonable.

Yes yours is what gave me the idea. My X95 should be at my door in a couple days so I wanted to start getting stuff ready for it.

i was looking at this one: And that would be great if you could. Thanks

Yeah, I have this one on, there's maybe 2mm between the end of the can and the plastic black piece of the x95 - and that's without any crush washer):

One is 5.5" vs 5.47"... so basically very similar

It fit no problems without any mods to the gun or can.

Note that you can't slide the front panels while the can is on, unless you grind some material off so they would clear the can.

TNA reverse style can with compensator (no modding necessary to fit):

Unknown brand can to illustrate the grinding you have to do to be able to slide the front covers off with the can still on:
