Awesome stuff! Would love to go down to Shiloh and see their showroom. I’ve heard it’s pretty impressive. I’m still relegated to pretend land with a Uberti 1885 that I’ve only run smokeless and store bought casts but it shoots pretty sweet. I’m looking to get my hands on a MVA #108 for it to stretch it out some.

I highly recommend it. A word of caution, call to make sure they are there. they do the SHOT Show and NRA Show and they take the display with them. The other caution is make sure your wallet is well stocked. Expensive place;)

I'm in with a Remlin 1895 standard made in June of 2013. Still stock standard except for Weaver rail and rings. The more u shoot it the smoother it gets. Trigger also improved with use. Just need to get another scope that'll take more than 40 shots to loose zero!
 
i've been a 45-70 owner since 2002 . got a marlin 1895ss back then and have never owned such a fun gun as well as a bush gun for moose. been casting bullets for it and reloading which makes it all the more fun. had a marlin 1895 cowboy as well but sold it last year ( brain fart) but in the process of getting another cowboy . hope to have it in a couple weeks . you can't have too many 45-70 marlins

Update on my 45-70

I put a 2-7x32 on it

And installed a BearTooth cross bolt safety delete. :rockOn:

I 'need' the happy trigger! That will be the next mod for my 45-70 :rockOn:
 
I will depart from the norm and say I prefer to leave the crossbolt safety in place in my 1895GS.
During the unloading cycle you have a cocked hammer over a live round situation and it’s better to have the safety in my humble opinion.
If I was using the gun for dangerous game backup I’d remove the crossbolt and install the safety delete kit.
 
I am in as well with two. The first is a JM Stainless Guide Gun & the second is a custom built on an Enfield Jungle Carbine action. The custom throws a 540 gr cast at 1725 fps and cuts one ragged hole at 100 yds. The Hammer of Thor on game. Recoil is stout. Also have an 1895 M in .450 Marlin which has been my go to bear gun.
