A thousand bucks for a sheet metal gun with rough hand hewn parts and painted with a roller..? It makes my Chinese SKS look like a H&K in quality... lol

If you really want a kind-of-AK or you collect Chinese guns, knock yourself out :)

My grand could be better spent on a milled VZ that looks slightly less like it was cobbled together by candle light in a sheet metal shop.

Maybe the final version will be better, but I am thinking that this is NOT really a new gun, and even the demo model should be looking much better.

It looks more like a $500 in the picture, and I would still prob just buy a Russian SKS if they were side by side and the SKS looked better built and $800 cheaper !

just put your SKS in a ATI stock with a banana mag for 6 months to get it out of your system :) Mine all went back to original except in a bedded stock with new trigger springs. It shoots great and I never looked back. Gave the stock and mag away for free.

That's beat up, untreated Parkerizing, not paint on the metal.

And milling appears to be more refined but doesn't necessarily equate to a better product, the expense of crafting that machined receiver means that you either have to pay more or accept cost cutting measures elsewhere.

If people say they're overpriced junk, let them. Can't help everyone with their head in the sand. If people lack the ability to realize that the Canadian dollar is low, and that the cost of labor in China isn't as low as 10 years, or 20 years ago, that the model on the first page was just a rough sample, then just let them complain and live with their small minds just like the Liberals do.

I like your thinking! !!!!
