M Lok on wood?? what do yall think?

Beautiful! Is there enough meat on the bottom to install slots for a bipod or foregrip?

I’m really tempted on doing this with the dong.
I’m not to sure how I’d feel about it on the factory wood though. It seems like it’s made out of something incredibly soft and would have a high chance of tearing out or cracking.

How’s the clearance once you’ve got it back on the rifle?

Thanks! Still debating. Need very clean optic mount for this elegant lady ;)

Someone on Reddit is going to produce a completely reversible red dot mount that sits on top of the rear iron site. It looks pretty clean. I will search for my post about it later, but you may want to see if he's ready to sell them yet.

For those who can't get an optic rail, can't afford or don't want a full fore-end replacement, or want a readily removable red dot mount that still allows use of the iron sights, the rear sight block mounted red dot mount is now available on a Made to Order basis from mcwistle.com.

They also have an XL mag release available, for those looking for a Type 81 specific, made in Canada wider, longer, and more curved mag release for easier reloading.

Once i have it installed i will report back. this is still sitting in my buddy's working shop. he did recess the hardware so it shouldn't have any issue

I bought a spare rail that I've decided I don't need. You can have it at my cost. This is rail only - no pins. You'd need an optic ready set up for it to work.
