Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

I've got a transfer I'm trying to complete, have been trying for a week now and I can't count how many times I've been waiting to speak to someone for 30-32 mins and they hang up, or how many times I cannot even get in line to wait. Any tips would be appreciated.
 
I've heard of people spoofing their phone number to a different area code/timezone in Canada to beat the rush, but unfortunately other than that I am unsure, and I couldn't even begin to tell you how or why it would work.

Had this happen 3 times today. Got to the 35 min mark on hold and the call auto drops with a pre-recorded message saying that they are busy. On hold again as I type this.

Update: I was on hold for 32 mins and it was 4:48pm when I actually got to speak to someone and I was able to get the transfer started.

After calling hundreds of times to get some transfers put through, then finally emailing the ON CFOs office, asking if there is another way to do this more efficiently, I actually got a call from them today.
All my transfer requests have already been placed, but she did say that before the rush, the transfer times in ON were about 4-6 weeks, and likely 8-9 weeks at this point.
 
May 31 business to private approved today. Just waiting on the store to let me know when I can pick up.

I had a purchase on May 30 and received approval two weeks ago, however still waiting on the May 31 and June 1 purchase. It actually took Tenda two days to submit to CFO... (two days is not bad considering)

Got a response from ombudsman asking me to provide details, so they can contact CFO. 3 days initial response, not bad. will keep you posted on results.

Did you notice at the bottom of the email it said:

"Please be aware that given our Office’s role and function, we are unable to speed up, or otherwise change the prioritization of your CFO transfer application."
