VZ58: Optics, sights & mounts. update sept

NEA upper and an AIMPOINT PRO red dot seems like a very good option for the UNRESTRICTED vz58. Any one have this combo? Or what else? Will a VORTEX 1X4 work for eye relief at 4 power with the adjustable stock? Trial and error is to expensive. WEAPONEER! are you out there!

Rails are here ... I am working on the assembly instructions and will ship asap.

The basics are the same as the SKS KwikRail:

1. Remove rear sight.
2. Remove rear pin
3. attach rail at the rear sight base with split pin provided
4. Run the KwikPin supplied in the kit to hold the rail to the rear receiver cover

The only difference is that the rear pin can be removed without modification being necessary so the rifle can be returned to its original configuration.

Im still on iron sights with my vz58. I am looking at a IOR Valdada 1x-4x Pitbull scope.
My question is does this rail cause problems with ejection? where will the brass deflect too?

I've had no problems with ejection, the inside of the rail is angled do direct the case away from the shooter.
There can me some concern about location of the mounting rings, To avoid stove piping. The brass does get pretty damaged on ejection.(there is a pic in the "tacticool vz58 thread just below this)
Hope this helps a bit

For anyone wondering about the Vortex Spitfire, I just mounted a 1x on my NEA front handguard rail and it seems to work alright. It is clearly not a true 1x, but it seems it will work. I might still mount it farther to the rear in the future more for the balance of the rifle than anything else. I like how close to bore you can get with these sights compared to the mounts other sights provide. I chose this sight because it is a prism sight with an etched reticle which means you can see the reticle even if you run out of batteries. This is important to me personally because I hate relying completely on battery power with my optics. Here are some pics:
