Who wants a non-restricted Beretta CX4 Storm?

Would it be possible to have a permanently-attached 2" flash hider installed on the barrel?

wouldn't change anything, since this is a centerfire the barrel itself must be over 18.5 inches to be non-restricted, no matter what you hang on it.

I know Epps is doing a non-restricted Beretta CX4 Storm...

They have already sold a USC in 45acp the was made non-restricted buy Doug there gunsmith :D That would be a real nice short range deer gun with some +P 185gr Hydra shok's :D

Really...very cool. .45ACP avec JHP's, 230 grain or 185 grain, would be the cats ass on deer out to 100 yardsish.

Not to rain on anyones parade, but keep in mind that if you ever have to make a warrenty claim on your CX after you've modified it... well, you probably won't be able to....

correct, because you wouldn't be able (legally anyway) to put the stock barrel back on to send it on for repair.

The ones that Williams Arms have comes with three rails (one long one for the top, one for the side, and a slide out rail from under the barrel (Not the bottom rail in the pic, this rail is hidden until you slide it out). He has extra side rails and bottom rails on order.

When you've got it all done up, it has 5 rails. I love the rails. I'm mountin a harris on the bottom rail when the rail comes in.

Has anyone managed to remove the barrel? It seems to be pressed into place. This may complicate barrel changes.
Oh yeah... the barrel is simple to remove. It's not threaded into the action or anything. I just sits in there (like a Ruger 10/22). It's held in by a barrel nut attached at the front of the "handguard"... which crazy enough, is the registered part of this rifle... When has a plastic handguard ever been the registered part of a firearm? lol... so funny.
I've had a special tool machined that slides around the barrel (from the inside of the handguard) and contacts the barrel nut to remove it. It's very hard to get at because it's way up inside the handguard, so I had a special tool made. Available to anyone needing it to do the barrel swap.

I'm shipping the barrel out on Monday or Tuesday (to the guy who's making the new barrel). I should have a new barrel two weeks from that date. Everything is looking good. No price till it's done. I'll take pics of my new Storm, the barrel, and it all taken apart on Mon or Tues.

thanks for the pics guys , im to wasted right now to read 3 pages of posts so can someone please tell me when and were i can get one of these storms and for how much?

I suppose it depends on where which province you are in. I get mine from Williams Arms in Port Perry, Ontario - 1-877-833-2634 (I've bought two now). Great service, descent price. I've seen a few people that have got them for a tad under $1000. I paid $1000 on the dot for each of mine, and I don't mind a bit.
They will ship to ya no matter where you are if you can't get em around your place but ask around, a lot of places are carrying them.

What about us poor slobs that don't have restricted PAL's ? Are they going to keep at least one in stock at any given time so we can enjoy it too ?

you don't need a restricted PAL to pay for a storm....Just to take it home :D

Epps told me it will take a week or so to get all the paper work done and to make and change the barrel out......

When you guys get the final totals, please let us know the cost of the barrel swap from the various shops willing to do it...

This will probably be a pretty popular toy, I'd be tempted if my 870 was sucking up all my money! Beretta should take notice and market a version with an 18.5" barrel.
