G22s don't explode unless the ammo is bad, but many of the earlier Gen 3s had issues with rail mounted lights causing malfunctions. The trigger pull for takedown is definitely a design flaw and has certainly been a factor in a number of accidents. I don't find the trigger mushy and IMO the Glock trigger is pretty good, just misunderstood by a lot of people. It's very easy to run fast if you know what you are doing, thanks to the very positive reset.
The grip angle is dumb but doesn't interfere with shooting much as you just train to the shape of the gun you use, and the factory sights are garbage and I yank them off every Glock I buy.
Literally every pistol has a bunch of issues that you have to deal with. The advantage to the Glock is not that it has no problems, but that the problems it has are either easily corrected, or easily manageable. And they don't impact its reliability - except the very late Gen3s and earlier Gen4s, which had a bunch of extraction/ejection issues and for that reason I don't own or recommend them.
Getting emotionally attached to pistol manufacturers is stupid.
