I have read this entire thread and watched all the videos, and like many others I am doing the same now. I am going to go pick a cheap 12,16,or 20 gauge this week and try to make it as closely as possible look like the origional 20 gauge that started this thread.
One question though... If the firearm is already registered, but I dont plan on selling it since it wont be worth more than $50 (whats the point). Do I need to go through the hassle of getting it re-registered with the shorter barrel. I basically dont want to go through the hassle of doing this, but I dont want to get in trouble if I go to the local range. I will keep it to the over 18"barrel and 26"overall, but I dont want to get into legal problems if the ownership slip dont match the gun, and if I were to get approached by a officer or a grumpy range officer. I read earlier that someone said dont worry about changing the registration if you dont plan on selling it, but I feel though I would get hassled if I was approached and questioned about seeing the registration and it didnt match.
