WS-MCR - first look, just arrived.

Thank you for the review,
I was going to purchase but will hold off for now.
Still looking for the best ''compromise'' but this won't be easy.

Does the WS MCS use an AR15 barrel nut/thread system?
I got a lonely AR that my Midwest industries handguard could be nicely recycled here...

Is there a particular reason why the mcr in 7.62 is so rare? Can find it for sale on websites and classifieds in both 224 and 556 but have yet to come across a single one in 762.

I think there were a few available in 7.62x39 when wolverine supplies announced the sale of the WS-MCR and have been waiting to read/hear from some one who got one. Seems like they are focusing on 556 model since May 1st.(my guess). Hoping to get one in 7.62x39 when they show up

Been wanting one for a while now,
Sucks how no one is talking about availability, it's almost a well kept secret from anyone.
From the looks of it I may randomly stumble on one while looking into store availability...

Just got mine this week. Range yesterday. I absolutely loved it. Most fun I've had at the range in a while. I got a lot of work to do to be a decent stand up shot but I'm HAPPY to put in the time and rounds on my MCR.

Wolverine has confirmed they are trying to asking Spectre to produce out as many 556 versions as they can for now. We don't know when they will resume 7.62x39 production.

thanks for the info. Ustauk, the 224 Valkyrie seems to be a slow seller and I think/wish they would switch that production line over to the 7.62x39 production. 7.62x39 would sell out quicker right now than the valkyrie

Agreed, it looks like 7.62x39 has sold better then Valkyrie, since Valkyrie is in stock and 7.62 is not, and would likely continue to do so. However, I can understand why Wolverine is focusing on 556 production; by keeping a single version of the rifle going, they can pump more out for a given time period, which means that many more rifles out the door before the ban hammer lands. Plus 7.62 have other inexpensive options, like the SKS, and formerly inexpensive options, like the Type 81 out their to get. Semi-automatics 556 options are extremely limited, and likely to get even more so.

Don't think this was put up yet.
The good, the bad and the ever living hell torqued out of her.

Just found this video today.
I look forward to his review of the $500 Japanese toaster.

Also wondering if I can swap the hand guard for a lighter Carbon one.

Also, is there a larger mag drop button I can install?

If the dimensions are similar to the prior rifle, only certain handguard will have the space at the top to accommodate the piston system. Had anyone tried the TNA handguard on the MCR that worked before with the WK?

Hey Guys, saw a few posts about replacing the buffer tube in the MCR. Is that a must? What would I gain with a different buffer tube? Pretty new to this.

I think the only thing replacing the buffer tube will get you is a tighter fitting stock. Someone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong, but that's the only thing i can think of.
