Combat scope/wombat scope.....Wuts the diff?
Not trying to be a Rick, but as far as I can tell, the challenge is extended towards rifle capabilities more so then shooter skill?
I've been following this thread with enthusiasm, but the rules keep changing.
First it was print 5x5 sub MOA groups with your black rifle.
Then it was anything goes....except for a lead sled.
Now it seems the low mag/CQB guys want to cry foul against higher mag variable power scopes?
I don't care if you use a 72x scope with a robotic shooting machine, the challenge is to show off the rifle's capabilities, not individual shooter's skills IMHO?
I vote for "anything goes/open class".....if your rifle can put 25 shots into 5sq inches, good on it,I dont care if you personally could ever repeat the feat without a vise?
Anyhow....not meaning to rant, but I thought the challenge is more about the rifles vs. the shooters ?
Again....enjoying the thread, and gonna give it a shot....out today messing around with a buddy,a few rifles, incl. my new XCR...and no pics so no...it didn't happen....but on the two 5rd groups where I really tried,I kept 3 shots sub MOA with a flier or two that opened the group to sub2"......operator error again I'm sure.
Next range day I'll put the pics up....just too informal today??
Fwiw.....

Federal 55gr FMJ(XM193)
Caldwell Tack Driver "H" shaped sandbag
3 outta 5 shots from sandbag are consistantly sub MOA,fliers open it to <2"(OP error).....lead sled I get my Gold stars I betcha.
