Thanks for that info 'Toymaker. Funny, I had thought through the EMT thing and that's what came to mind to me its easy to set up a bank account, apparently easy to get set up with EMT and its always been easy to close a bank account. I know, its scary I think like a crook sometimes
I'm curious that some say their bank holds Canada Post money orders to clearI've never had that experience mind you I just deposit in a machine. Another option as well is an old fashioned certified cheque its as good as cash as well. I prefer a postal MO though; cheap, quite quick, one stop, and a bit of a paper trail. You can require a signature for receipt too, another level of security.
Closing a bank account after sending an emt wouldn't work... Once you send an emt the funds are taken from your account and put on hold waiting for the receiver to complete the transaction... You can cancel an emt you sent but only if the receiver hasn't cashed it yet... That's why it is the best for sellers... You can send the item as soon as it's in your account...
