Hey Jay, palm-up/thumb-out when cocking your gun (on the odd chance a round cooks off). Those guns get HOT when you run a couple hundred round through them. We haven't gotten my buddy's hot enough to have a round cook off yet, but we had an incident where an uncrimped bullet 'fell out' and the powder that spilled into the gun did ignite.
