Oh, no... Quick, hide that grip safety picture. On the range everything works well, only the gripsafety does not work for me . I have a really high grip on my guns and so I don't disengage the safety well enough. Thats were the rubberband and piece of cardboard comes in the game.
Anybody can tell me how to take the gripsafety off ?

Go to Canadian Tire. Buy the cheapest bicycle tire tube. Cut a band about 2" wide. Use that to engage your grip safety.
Ideally, you should replace the grip safety with one that fits your hand, but I've been using the tube ever since I got the GSG 4-5months ago. Just remember to remove it after shooting or you'll end up with rust developing under it.
LOL the cheapest.aha, some good advise ! what size of a tube should it be ?
I took my GSG out to the range today. Put 1000 rounds CCI mini mags and Federal copper plated through it and no problem at all.
Now, I'm new to a 1911 style pistol . I love my plastic guns because they are easy to take apart and I shoot very well with them.
So I thought ,lets take the magazine disconnect out. Not a big deal ,I guessed .
Problem was I did not have a Punch ,so I invented a upside down drill bit in my powerdrill . Got it out and took the magwell out ,let go of the grip safety and the parts underneath came loose .Take the magazine disconnect out of the magwell ,pull the spring and "zing" the dam thing fly's through the dark man cave
.
On my knees ,flashlight on I'm zooming every inch of the floor and find it !
I put the magwell back in ,push the pin in and ..... slip with my improvised tool ,scratch on magwell ,frame and chipped walnut grip.

and I had to put the tall front sight in , but it is kind a loose in the notch ,so I have to screw it in harder and front sight comes a bit higher this way ? Is this normal ?

It is the rubber washer that sits behind the recoil spring. The aluminum slide hits it on recoil and it absorb some of the shock that would otherwise be hammering steel on aluminum. Possibly cracking the slide over time. What is a buffer and what does it do?
LOL the cheapest.
The cheapest you can get are for the smallest kid bikes that have reasonably wide tires. Don't be too scientific about it, it'll work fine!
Hey CRAZYLOCH do you order yours with that grip or is it aftermarket?
I'm having Armco (Gunnar) install a fully adjustable (windage/elevation) rear-sight on mine.
