You post on SnipersHide yeah? There's a guy on the forums who does the proper green anodizing... could be worth it for the increase in clone correctness/look cool factor!

Been following that post closely. That being said, they won't be cheap but those that want to make a full on clone will need them

Certainly won't be cheap - there's a lot of work going into producing what will ultimately be a limited product.
But for those in the niche of producing accurate replicas, they're certainly worth it.
LRI does some really cool stuff.
Just got a new production m40a1 smear stock from Mcmillan. Apparently they are doing a batch of 50 smear stocks as commemorative items. Just want to show it off here a bit. There are couple good threads on Sniper's hide covering this subject if you want to know more about M40a1 and the smear stocks.

That's a nice stock. So jealous. Never even knew they were doing a run of smears, I thought their stance has always been they wouldn't try to turn the clock back.
