A shotgun is a shotgun, I have both a classic wingmaster and a "tactical" desert recon. They look different, but looks aside they tick the same way, it would be a pain to scour two forms for information that could likely apply to both guns.

No offence folks - however, I find it unfortunate that Members have to regularly witness the constant series of "for/against" bickering that have slowly become a parasitic feature of the Shotgun Forum.
Personally speaking, I've had my fill of all this and moving forward neither intend nor look forward to revisiting this particular forum, split or otherwise....just not worth it anymore.

This is a bit contradictory. You say you are tired of being insulted, you say you aren't trying to insult anyone and yet refer to those who don't agree with you as "Fudds that are full of themselves" and "bitter judgemental pricks."
Clearly there is fault to be spread among more than one group for any stresses in the shotgun forum or in your world is calling someone a "bitter judgemental prick" not an insult?
I changed my mind....The shotgun forums should be split.
There will be about 100 posts per day on the tacticool forum, while the other one will get 4 posts per day.
2 of the 4 posts will be "wow, who come this forum is so dead?"

That could be but non-tactical shotgunners will have three forums -- Shotgun non-tactical; Skeet/Trap/Sporting Clay; and Hunting.I changed my mind....The shotgun forums should be split.

I own tactical,hunting and sport shooting shotguns so I will just have to browse more forums I guess...

I like the differing opinions, it makes the shotgun forum exciting and interesting. As much as I love all guns, the shotgun forum always has something interesting to read. I can't say that about the other forums all the time. Try reading in the red rifle forum for a while. So dry, all the threads are exactly the same. Sks this, sks that, who loves there sks the most, bla bla bla. As much as I love my sks, I learned all I need to know about it as soon as I shot it and took it apart for the first time. And for $200 its a lesson everyone can learn. BORING!
Let's keep this forum diverse just like the characteristics of the shotgun, the gun that can do-it-all. Let's just try not bickering as much and also be a lil thicker skinned.

I never referred to anyone that doesn't agree with me. I never insulted anyone who disagrees with me directly or on purpose/with intent. I'm not tired of being insulted as I generally stay pretty neutral because I don't see the point in arguing, thus I don't get s**t on too often. I like CGN (most of the time lol) and any effects that are detrimental to the community's overall health I want no part in.

I simply stated a stereotypical category of individuals/trolls that are IMO too "opinionated" and attempt to drag some that frequent the Shotgun Forum down to their level in order to beat whoever the nemesis of the day is with experience. If someone feels "insulted" by my post it is their own doing. They put themselves in the stated category on their own, not me.
Those who are insulted by the post you quoted either want to be so they can pick a fight or need to learn how to read.
If i say Claybuster, you need to learn how to read. It is an insult ... plain and simple.
If I say Fudds are bitter old pricks and need to learn how to read. I'm stating that about Fudds, if you put yourself in the Fudd category and feel insulted that's your own doing, not mine.

Writing with disclaimers that state "this is not an insult" every two sentences is kind of a PITA. It's all about perception.

If I did want a shotgun for self defence it would be the best pump ever made it allready holds 7 rounds it has a tapered fireing so if it breaks it will still fire and not come flying out the end of thebreech bolt and will fire faster than any other pump gun and it doesn't have to be black. I'm not implying anything in regards to you ... if you feel insulted you are the one finding similarities between the stereotype I posted and yourself. Go through my previous posts for other threads bud .. how often have I picked a fight for no reason? Go see how often I belittle someones opinion "just because".
We will never come to a consensus on who WE are as a community. Which is why in the long run we will likely hang separately. This is the reason why I do not pick fights, if some gun owners belittle and can't accept other gun owners for who they are how in hell are the antis/misinformed ever going to accept us.
Pretty easy for you perhaps, but ive seen alot of fudd calling after someone suggests a 14" shotgun isnt necessarily the all-purpose shotgun one might think. This is a two way street.
There are very few more outspoken against "tacticool shotties" than Win/64 and claybuster, so who exactly are the bitter old prick fudds that you are referring to if not them? They are the same two who you seem to be arguing with. I think your insults are as pointed as they can be withought naming names. not that those guys need anyone sticking up for them.
