Not that I'm particularily interested in getting a 375 Ruger but I wouldn't mind seeing some of what's available out there that those of you have.

Well, just because.....
The H&H and the Ruger both operate at the same pressure- About 63000 PSI.
They figured out long ago how to make straight walled cases work in adverse conditions. The various military of the world even agreed!
Many, many .338's 7RM's, 300WSM's etc go to Africa every year. If they didn't work, I think we would probably hear about it by now!
Saeed on Accurate Reloading has shot a hundred (maybe hundreds?) of Buffalo using his wildcat 375-404 (Basically a 375 RUM) and hasn't experienced any feeding or extraction problems. And he hasn't had a problem with ammunition supply, either.
Anyway, I haven't had the opportunity to shoot a buff with the Ruger yet. I can only speculate it will work okay.

If it was THE original short magnum, then great.

Thanks. I'm a little partial to the Africian as I had one in my first 458 WM. I assume yours may be the Alaskan?

Rather than a product promotional picture, do you have an actual pic of yours showing the total 'package' including frills like sling, scope etc.
So I wonder when Rigby,Krieghoff,Heym,Blaser,etc. will be chambering the Ruger?
Interestingly, Krieghoff has now joined the ranks of the .375 Ruger manufacturers with the Semprio. Comes in 416 Ruger as well...

Thanks, again, not my cup of tea but it'd be the s**ts if we were all the same. Two more questions;
- What scope set up?
- I assume the black attachment on the butt stock is an ammo carrier of sorts however I can't clearly define it in the photo.
Scope is a 2.5-8x36 Leupold Vari X III that I took off a 7RM. It has an elevation turret on it, too.
The buttstock shell carrier has removable velcro shell loops. I pick the rifle up, load it from the shell holder then rip the shell holder loops (with spare ammo) off and put it in my pocket. No way I'd hunt with a buttstock shell holder full of ammo.

Are you still alive? This .375 Ruger catridge must be pretty awesome or just a really argumentative topic if you're still kicking around. I personally have no use for you but some other guys must. Thought it was but wasn't sure. I use a couple of "Uncle Mike's".
PS - the only reason I'm reading it is I had to see why you were still on the top of the new posts heap and now I see! You, dear thread, are simply dross that's ready to be skimmed.
