The issue only happens when the trigger is fully pressed to the rear. Who the hell would be pressing the trigger fully to the rear while pointing the gun anywhere else but downrange?Lee3444 the issues is not that you never have the gun loaded unless it is pointed down range. The issue is the only time you don't and the gun goes off. Murphy lives and he lives in all of us.
FN should have recalled all of the pistols and had them either corrected or offered a replacement. It looks to me like when FN found out about the issues they just quit making the gun and when their dealers found out the gun had issues, they collectively just put them on sale to unsuspecting gun owners. If someone were to get hurt due to the corporate decision I hope they get their butts sued off.
It would be interesting to hear what the Canadian Distributor was told, if anything, and what prompted the gun going on sale.
